I’m not sure if you are aware of this but my savior ( Jesus) was middle eastern. There are many Christians in the middle east, it is kinda where it all started. I think any man who would put his life on the line for the gospel should be applauded not criticized.

I totally agree. We, as Christians, have no one to blame for the state of this country but ourselves. When we should have been Jesus to a broken world all around us, we have become materialistic, self absorbed, and sold our soul to politicians. The first century church shook the world, they didn’t get to vote. They got off their butt and lived out what they said they believed. If this country is going to change it starts with us living out what we believe, not us going around trying to make others live according to what we believe. The church collectively has a pretty big log in it’s eye.

I’m not quite sure why people get so upset that black people in this country are a tad grumpy considering the history they have had. Jews tend to be a little sensitive, but considering people have been bent on at best, oppressing them, at worst, wiping them off the face of the earth, we are OK with Jews being sensitive. Black people I believe, get a little leeway, maybe even a little compassion.

Yes, there is a black man in the white house. At the same time, the average white person possesses twenty times the wealth of the average black person. After over a hundred years of slavery, and just a few decades ago black people facing lynch mobs, police dogs and fire hoses, it amazes me that white people are still so offended that black people might be a little grumpy about their history here in America. Seeing as how the democratic party has sold them a bill of goods claiming to be the solution to inequality, I think they have every right to be a little grumpy about our system.

Shane Claiborn lived with mother Teresa taking care of lepers, lived with homeless people on the streets of Philadelphia, put his life on the line to protect innocent woman and children in Iraq, if “Christians” in this country lived out their Christianity to the degree this man has, the world would be a much better place.

Remember the sermon on the mount when Jesus said, ” pound your enemies into sand” and ” return them to the stone age”, I get the warm fuzzies every time I think of it.
