  I came to the conclusion a long time ago when I tried to engage the pro-gay marriage folks on an intellectual level that this was not about anything but trying to be accepted as “normal” just like hetero marriage. As a libertarian I appealed to them to approach it by terms of freedom but they wanted nothing to do with that argument, only to bash me as a bigot because even if they changed the law, I would not accept it as normal.

  Coulter seemed taken aback by the mob (which she should be used to), her point which she did not articulate well is that Republicans and Libertarians should be working together on the big issue of the welfare state and not on the side issues of gay marriage and legalizing pot. Yes we should be free from Govt intervention into our Marriages, but we are not and getting them out of marriage is not what the LIbs want, they want more government. On the war issue, I think she also did not articulate it well. We should be supporting freedom.

  I can understand your frustration that you did not see proof and I think it was a political mistake on Obama’s part…The military should have shown it immediately and I knew these stupid conspiracy theories would arise because of it. Anyone who believes in big government conspiracies has obviously never worked for the government. They are too inept to pull it off, the military least of all. I have seen the picture. I am not allowed to share it so I do not. I know you don’t know me from Adam but I can assure you he is dead, shot in the forehead.

  Agreed. I spoke with a Navy Counselor Chief about this situation today (at a Military Funeral no less) and he said the Navy would have bent over backwards to give him a job training or flying a desk for four years no problem.   It is failure of curiosity and an example of pride. It is not just the difference between the new and old covenants, but the science of hermeneutics. How to interpret the Bible is a science of understanding what is history, what is poetry and prose, what is personal ranting and what can and should be followed literally and what is figurative. People differ on the latter but yes, people believe the entire book is inspired. I can’t believe what a moron this guy is.

  Agreed, but unfortunately the article while very interesting and a story that needs to be told is poorly written. Gives the impression the officer fired once and dropped the suspect (dropped him with one shot) when she fired four times and got him with one of the shots. We don’t need to stretch the truth we need to be truth tellers not propagandists.
