  • Hatch should not be on the list. This makes me really question the methodology. Anyone who doesn’t even want to face a vote of the people to keep their job is not conservative, nor do they respect the constitution.
    He shouldn’t be there.
    Period.

  • @rapture

Wow. Feeling the love for your fellow men there. What brand of ‘Christian’ are you again?

  • @Encinom
…I don’t think I’ve seen anyone spew as much fact-less hate as you. You’re reply to everything that you don’t agree with boils down to ‘hate, hate, hate, hate…’

Let everyone else be aware, Encinom’s venomous cries of ‘hater’ and demands for tolerance only apply to everyone else; you’re only allowed to have an opinion if you agree with him. Just ignore the name-calling, baiting, trolling, biting, and dehumanizing rhetoric he spews. Anyone with eyes connected to their brain can see him for what he is.

  • These are more props. His oath to the constitution is meaningless, as he has already shown. This is simply to try and convince people that he is taking this seriously; he’s not. He’s violating how many rights already?

How is swearing in on someone’s bible supposed to be more binding than if it simply were an oath taken before God, or any oath for that matter?

He is an oath breaker already, His word means nothing.

  • @Apex and Catty:

Jumping to conclusions and intentionally misunderstanding makes a joke of you, not the original post. I’ll be very clear so you can’t misunderstand.

For me, standing on your own, for yourself and others, is the essence of what it means to be an American; independence. America is an ideal, not a geographical location. What does it mean to be ‘an American’? I’ll go down my list and see how this guy adds up…

Bare facts of case: Armed father protecting his infant son puts his own life in danger and allows himself to be mugged without care for the cash, only pulls his weapon and defends himself when the thief shows intent of shooting them regardless of money. Father only shoots the minimum amount necessary and doesn’t chase down the perp he’s wounded, but stays with his child.

Stand independently, take care of and provide for yourself? Check.
    Show self restraint? Check.
Be more concerned with human life than money? Check.
Use force to protect innocents who can’t protect themselves? Check.

Alright, what’s your definition of ‘American’ which this guy doesn’t fit?

  • @AUSERNAME
Either you don’t understand the concept of freedom, or, you hate it. If it is hate, then you should go to N. Korea. It is the place for you. Otherwise, perhaps I can help.
Freedom, by definition, cannot be given, cannot be gifted, granted, or offered. Freedom must be claimed, defended, bought, and won. This man and all our armed forces have paid the price for every American, and due to our world influence, much of the world’s population to have a lower price on liberty. Freedom is individual. you can take it, but it cannot be taken from you. You can give it up, but it cannot be given to you. Freedom, liberty, means that you choose, you get to act, and you are responsible and get to reap the consequences. By your statement that he is responsible, you acknowledge that he died and continues to be a free man.
Also, keep in mind that our troops are NOT our government, but no human organization is perfect.

The price of liberty is blood, however, the price of tyranny is more blood than liberty could ever supply, (you invoked Hitler, and the irony of your juxtaposition is staggering). If saving lives is your goal, you should be cheering on our troops and the ideology they bring, as the opposite is responsible for uncountable more deaths, during “peace” and even among their own countrymen.

To hate is your choice. But you shouldn’t hate him for paying some of the price to preserve your choice.

  • Beck broke news that the MSM was not trusted with by informers. That’s pissed-off the press. That is all.

How many times has FOX, MSNBC, CNN, NBC, ABC, etc… ran with a story without naming their informant? Historically this is how it is done with top-level informants and whistle-blowers. Can anyone say ‘deep throat’?

And even if protecting your sources was not a tried-and-true journalistic method in the United States, after what this admin has done to whistle-blowers in the past, and how politically motivated and prioritized things are during an election year, I’m not surprised that the sources asked to not be named. As far as we know these meetings are classified if not top secret. Letting your name out means losing your job/career/ connections, and becoming a target.

Seriously, what would Obama and his cronies NOT do to stop reports like this from going out?

    In reply to HOOT_OWL.

when I started reading, I thought you were going ask for shoes that said:

“Why are you out of the kitchen?”

But I think I like your idea better.

  • …and another childhood friend and memory dies.
Man-made climate change (anthropomorphic global warming – AGW), is a scam. Their stats are lies. The earth has been warmer than it is now very recently, in human recorded history, in fact. The golden age in the middle ages, when Leif Erickson and Eric the Red were roaming the arctic seas, they grew WHEAT in greenland, several degrees warmer than we are now. And the result wasn’t advancing deserts… it was a massive increase in productive farmland and a bunker-crop production level still not matched. neither was flooding a problem, all we have recorded is the northwest passage, not submerged coastlines.

It then got super-cold again. Why? volcanic eruptions. Mankind is not making the earth warmer, it does that naturally. We don’t make it colder, it does that naturally. A warmer climate is not the end of civilization, it was a boon in ‘uncivilized’ times.
Bill, the data is CLEAR. Stop lying, please. You’re killing my childhood. You are either brainwashed or stupid, and I don’t want to consider either, so I’m ignoring you now.

  • …doing what she loved…

I guess. I imagine that she had a massive amount of adrenaline pumping, which is what base jumping or any other extreme sport is about… an addiction to adrenaline.
    HOWEVER
I’m not sure. Usually adrenaline junkies tend to be the more calm people when it comes to certain death situations. If that is the case, perhaps she was more relaxed than she would have been if her chute opened and she was worried about sticking the landing correctly. Especially since she apparently acted out a high-speed earth-hug. If she was collected enough to open her arms in acceptance… Well, either way, we’ll not know, that’s for sure.
Everything considered, I do not mourn for the child; that baby is back with God. Innocence, complete innocence.
