When you throw someone under the bus, look around and make sure there are no other buses coming. “low level employee”, they don’t have as much to lose as those higher up. The police tend to make deals with these “low level employees” in order to get the bigger fish.

If it will be labeled as hate speech to speak out against Islam and then be punished for it, then it should be the same for any religion or lack of religion. Personally, I think it’s hogwash to even consider prosecuting someone for their speech in this country but they need to make it the same across the board and not single one area out for special treatment.

Nor does this child have that kind of time to appeal or try to have this changed. Give the kid a break and a fighting chance at least. If Sebelius actually had a healthcare background (RN, MD, etc…) then she might understand. Our Attorney General at least has a law degree, I think?

This case has been followed here locally in Cincinnati and I’m sure there will be appeals. Unfortunately the district failed to identify what is and is not tolerated according to the Church’s teachings. I know, hand the lady The Holy Bible, but in our society today that doesn’t suffice. The other point of interest, “was she in a ministering position”, in other words was she teaching religion or religious oriented themes in her class. She’s a computer teacher and apparently didn’t have to do this in her curriculum. The jury decided she wasn’t ministering so she didn’t have to abide by the doctrine.

One point of interest, her sexual orientation never came up in the dismissal or the trial.

She says she doesn’t want to intervene, however she has been asked to do so and has flat our refused. Override the requirement she can only have a pediatric lung transplanted and give her a chance. Good luck Sarah and God bless, we’ll be praying for you!

I’ve worked with gay workers as well, and I did get hit on. I guess I should have taken it as a compliment that the gay guys “would just eat me up”(yeah that’s what I was told)”. Yes it made me uncomfortable, and no I did not report it to HR. It does happen so it is a justifiable concern.
