I believe as Christians we should contend for the faith, but I find it so funny when other Christians become so shocked when people who don’t claim to be protestant evangelicals, don’t echo everything we believe. That’s what Muslims do. Why do you expect people to act born again when they are not born again? Besides, even though I believe Jesus is God the son, I love studying his secular or human aspects because it gives more gravity to his life and sacrifice. Some Christians patronize Jesus to the point that he becomes some extra terrestrial mystical figure rather than God in the flesh.

We must condemn this behavior. I’m not condemning the mother directly, but the behavior. This stuff is so stupid and so preventable and yet every freekin summer we hear about it. Sadly, if I’m right, it is almost always mothers. As a father, I’m more apt to neglect everything else but my child rather than the other way around.

I don’t want to sound unmerciful because I could make a mistake at any minute, but my kids or any kids for that matter are my best friends at all times. These stories have always bothered me because I don’t know how you forget about your best friends like that. Nevertheless Im sure this couple are experiencing the most agonizing feelings a person could so God bless them.

A person can believe in evolution all they want but don’t call it a science because it is not. Sure scientific methods are applied to researching it but the fundamentals of evolution are a complete opposite to the “Scientific Method”. Even since the mid 1900′s, evolution and the age of the universe has slowly increased to accommodate the continual lack of evidence. It used to say the universe was thousands of years old, then hundreds of thousands, then millions, then hundreds of millions, then billions and now, billions and billions. That alone should make any real scientist cringe over the fact that the projections of how old the universe is are continually unfounded and evolving. It is still a theory which means it is ripe for debate and well deserving of it just like any other scientific theory or hypothesis.

Ok If that’s the case, and I’m not assuming your dumb but, let me ask you, what do you know about radiocarbon dating, how long is the half-life of a carbon 14 atom/isotope, how is carbon 14 created, does carbon 14 decay exponentially or non exponentially, has the earth reached equilibrium on carbon 14 creation vs decay??????? My point is I believe in creation and I can answer all those and maybe you can too, but I’m far from a mental midget. We just differ.

@blinknight. No one has yet found a transitional specimen whether living or within the fossil records. The only transitional specimens are the ones people claim are but can provide zero proof. They just say it and everyone takes it as fact. That is blind faith.

My cop neighbor has encouraged me to go on a ride along. I guess I won’t be doing that seeing how it could be used against me. How petty are these prosecutors gonna get?

People who once thought being anti-gun was all about being trendy, especially some celebrities, are now realizing that it’s nothing more than a bunch of elitists who look down on the public. It never was about guns with the elitists, but rather the people’s individualism and freedom of expression. Someone like her is definitely not going to give up their freedom of expression.

Whatever sick, twisted or perverted action or behavior the human mind can conceive of doing, liberals will declare it a freedom and grant it the highest priority.

That is absolutely absurd, since when is depriving your child of health and life a Christian or religious virtue? You can’t do whatever you want to your child and call it religious. They may have been well intended but nevertheless what they did is not a virtue or religious by any stretch.

This is the problem with faith healing rather than the belief in divine healing, faith healers are usually trying to PROVE something whether it’s to God l, themselves, or trying to get God to prove something to them. This is negligent homicide pure and simple. Some people get so obsessed with miracles and faith they think that looking both ways to cross the street is a sin.

All you people who voted for Cruz need to pat yourself on the back, this dude is a champ and he is paying back in interest. Everytime the dems are called out on their policy, they scream about ethics and formalities. I pray that when I get as old as Reid, I will not have lost all sense of reality the way he has.

The fact that they want destroy gun rights goes to show that guns do provide a deterrent against tyranny. Tyranny is not necessarily intentionally calculated in some backroom board meeting its just what happens with narcissistic leaders, and narcissistic leaders don’t like people holding the power of life and death through gun ownership. Its like oil and water, they don’t mix, same goes for tyrants and gun ownership. Its just a fact of nature.

Well I think this lady is truly well intended unlike Frankenstein, but sadly we know better. Our govt has no intention of addressing violence. They simply want to destroy the whole notion of rights and personal liberties. You have a higher chance of being killed by yourself through suicide than you do from someone with a gun.

@LETUSREASON. They’re called northern water snakes here but every body thinks they are moccasins/cottonmouths. Also has anyone else heard about using a stun-gun to neutralize the venom? Didn’t know if that was a hoax.

@DEAVONREYE. I think you missed my point. Whether or not a person believes the Bible is literal or mythical, if a person is going to promote the afterlife which is derived from there, how can you dismiss those things in the same book which give some inclination or indication of that afterlife, such as the supernatural? Also I have copies of ancient Egyptian texts, which include spells and mantras that hardly differ from the accounts given in the Bible. So at the least the Bible does have a historical parallel that is quite cohesive with archeology.

I don’t mean to assume, but I would encourage you to reconsider the idea of Adam and Eve being naive. The whole temptation in the garden was to convince them they were naive to something, but as we have seen the knowledge of good and evil is not a virtue. It is still a temptation today to think they were naive in some manner although God had given them “dominion” over the earth. We can learn from evil, but not sin because sin is internal, hence “thorns and thistles” Although Paul says what we have in Christ is better than what Adam had, that doesn’t mean there existed any deficiency whatsoever prior to the fall. “God saw that it was good”

I’m truly displeased when people make dismissive comments such as “rooted in superstition”, or to have “case closed” attitude especially from someone of his caliber. When Moses turned his staff into a serpent the Egyptian magicians did the same, and the magicians also duplicated some of the plagues. Why would God command mediums and sorcerers to be put to death if those things were mere superstition? Although I don’t have any fascination with paranormal stuff the fact is, the Bible is loaded with supernatural occurrences such as demon possession, black magic, angels, visions, mediums, 4 horseman of the apocalypse, the three wise men who studied the stars, talking donkeys, talking serpents, Divine miracles, spiritual and bodily translation such as Phillip and Paul, but yet no ghosts?
