I wouldn't trust them, I'd stand there to get my receipt. ya know the government are full of crooks. one of them thieves might try to steal from him. then he'd get hit with a fine for failure to pay his taxes in full.
No, you don't understand caleejr - his attempt to make a statement to the IRS is a trespass ON the criminals of government, thus criminal trespass.
As the bumper sticker says - "Don't steel. Government hates competition."
I'm sure the scenario went like something like this (and I hope he filmed it) -
"Your bill is $600 sir."
"Here you go, I want a receipt"
"What did you do to these bills? Are you paying in 1's? I'm sorry I'm not going to accept this."
"That is my payment, it is legal and I want a receipt. If you knew how hard it was to earn it, you might respect it."
"Security! Tell this man to make proper payment."
"I know my rights, I know the law, that's my payment."
(security) "Your going to have to take that as payment, sorry."
"OK, you leave it here and we will send you a receipt or a bill if it is short."
"No, I'm not leaving without a receipt."
"Security! This man won't leave."
"I want a receipt"
(security) "If you don't leave I'll arrest you."
"I want a receipt and I want to see them count it."
(security) "Your under arrest."

Had the commercial been tied to FRACKING or GLOBAL WARMING – the left would be Praising it. When it’s about safety and common sense…it’s a bad thing?!
It's based on an absurd false premise, that having insurance will somehow prevent accidents.

What a moron…Somehow it’s God who made all these evil things in his opinion – God created a perfect world – we’re the ones who messed it up and handed over the deed to the purest evil that exists.

I could see if it were a private school – but this is a public school. wow – that’s one strict public school! Do they enforce the 6″ rule too?

explain to me again why I should pay for someone to be off work for a month and a half. Why is it MY responsibility to pay Them NOT to work? regardless the circumstance, they don’t pay ME to Not work – why should I pay Them?

“Da Po Po”?!
wow – American Journalism at its finest. I bet she couldn’t read George Washington’s 2nd inaugural speech let alone understand it. And this has nothing to do with race – but everything to do with the dumbing down of America.

wow bryant – what does color have to do with it

That’s based upon the assumption that God is in control here and has control over the earth – before you go crazy, hear me out. Adam and Eve gave up ownership of this earth with the original sin – handed over the deed to the evil one. Until ownership is taken back by God – evil and sin are free to influence, free to roam, and free to reign. But, the evil that is happening isn’t necessarily “the devil” – it’s mankind choosing to behave in this manner…and choosing it freely. Mankind has got to know we have a choice in this little time we have here. Choose wisely….for it affects your soul for an eternity.
I both agree and disagree. Satan DOES have immense power in this world, but generally speaking it is more often the sinfulness of humans than the power of Satan that causes so much evil. Satan isn't omnipotent, after all.
As for God not being in control, that is untrue. God has allowed Satan to have free reign in many areas of the world, but He is still calling all the shots. The best example of this is in Job, where God gives Satan permission to persecute Job.

So, if a muslim barber refuses to give a haircut to a lesbian, whose side does the liberal progressive take?
You do realize that barbers use straight razors. I would think a muslim barber might consider it more of an opportunity to praise allah.
If you don't know the answer to that then I really can't help you.
Just because YOU base so much value on money doesn't mean all others do.
Try not to impose your valuations on others. It doesn't fit them as it fits you.
Muslims would never turn away paying customers. They don’t care if you’re buying a dozen cannolis and shoving them in the wrong end of the digestive tract as long as you pay for them. Good people the Muslims. They don’t drink but they own all the stores in my neighborhood where I can get a beer at 3:30 in the morning, and I’m grateful for it.

it’s out of respect that some people spell ‘God’ as G-d
Refer to practice first performed by Jews in regards to YHVH (being shortened without vowels because speaking it or writing it was a sign of disrespect)

Regardless – if the city bylaws and emplyee handbook require employees of the city to have a review of materials published by employees – the condition of employment for any employee includes all the rules and regulations associated with their job. If you have a job that has in its handbook that you must wear button up shirts to work or you will be terminated, you can’t cite religious persecution if you show up to work in shorts and a tee shirt and wind up fired.
"Cochran claims Atlanta ethics officer Nina Hickson gave him verbal permission to write the book and that he had given a copy to Reed’s office last January, the Journal-Constitution reported."
A contract is not valid if it contains an agreement to do something illegal. You can not take a contract out(to kill) on your annoying neighbor. Contracts are full of unenforceable clauses, especially rental agreements, construction contracts and home owner association crapola. Maybe you might make a contract with Mike Bloomberg to not carry a pistol for 5$ per week, and get away with it but your rights are not easily extinguished with a piece of paper that is voluntarily signed. I think the problem here is the city is trying to own him in his off duty hours too. If the city paid him around the clock not to write a book, I might change my mind but the city seems to want something for nothing which also violates the concept of an equitable contract.
First of all, there is NO city bylaw or employee handbook that supercedes a person's freedom of religion. Two, nobody is fired for a rule so trivial of not getting permission for writing a book. If anything, you are reprimanded verbally, then a written reprimand and eventually monetarily and lastly fired. And you don't fire someone that has been a valuable asset to the department on such a flimsy excuse. And that is what it is, only an excuse to fire a Christian. He was fired for his belief and that was proven by the last sentence in the article. The mayor stated that the chief was a potential liability to the city. Please explain how not getting permission to write a book is a future potential liability. He was referring to the chief's moral stance he wrote about in his book, that was the potential liability.

you honestly think they want to treat people how they Want to be treated?!
Very FEW atheists actually practice that.
…let alone “Be open-minded and be willing to alter your beliefs with new evidence.”…this from the most closed minded people out there?!

Did they ever stop to think that it’s natural…what stopped the ICE AGE? There is an ebb and flow to our climate that man doesn’t have influence over. What short sighted people these global warming advocates are.
There's no money to be made in natural climate change.

That’s not ‘being human’ that’s “INCITING a RIOT”

Someone needs to school this useful idiot in a meat suit what the 3/5ths clause was about.
The south wanted to include their slaves as a population count so they could have more representation in congress because with more of a population – you have more congressmen representing you. With a majority of southerners supporting slavery, they would go unchallenged by those who wished to change the laws concerning slavery by abolishing it. The south wanted to count their slaves who couldn’t vote and weren’t being represented – the North didn’t want them counted because they would not be represented – so they compromised on the 3/5ths rule to limit the south from dominating the house of representatives in making laws. So, the 3/5ths rule was to help the blacks …not hinder them. And there were just as many white indentured servants at that time – many owned by blacks, so learn your history before you speak.
And don't forget the sharecroppers. Often their living conditions were worse than those of slaves. Farmers had incentives to keep their slaves healthy since healthy workers would be more productive, but they had no such consideration for sharecroppers since if one failed there were plenty more waiting to take his place.
And thanks for bringing up indentured servants. They were virtual slaves, the only difference being that there would be an end to it in 10 or 20 years. I find it rather ironic that the very people who are being called "cracker" are themselves more likely descended from these almost-slaves instead of the few rich Whites who actually owned Black slaves!!

Straight people should start making announcements with fanfare and accolades “I have sex with people of the opposite sex! and I’m not ashamed to tell the world.”
It’s really THAT important to announce to the world who or what you engage in sexual relations with?
