What is with the cops carrying the kids photos. Its not like they were being carried out of burning buildings. Those kids look plenty old enough to walk. Where are the parents? Sure they could be paralyzed or medically unable to walk but to me this looks like photo op stuff.

I would not leave my kid alone at swim lessons. I feel for this guy. What a difficult situation that defies logic. Why do we cater to Muslim religious demands. Where are the atheist community agitators when we need them. Why do they fight to ban Christian symbols but indulge the Muslim religion.
I was in Sam’s Club last week and saw a Muslim family. Husband, wife, and three sons. The husband told the wife what to put in the cart. He and the boys stood by watching the very petite wife load case after case of sport drinks into the cart on command. Sickened me. This is the complete opposite of how we were raised. I will never understand.

This lady totally reminds me of the nerdy girl on the “Big Bang Theory”.

I think the computer homeschooling could be great if the parents were going to be involved and if there were more than just the state run curriculums to choose from. I have a friend in Philly whose children do this. It keeps the kids out of a crappy school system and allows them the flexibility to travel as school can be done anywhere that there is an internet connection. However, internet schooling will be no better or worse than the status quo if the parents chose not to be involved.
The warehousing of kids 9-5 model that she is describing is pretty much what is going on now in public school for those who want to utilize it. There are YMCA programs and such to watch the kids after school hours. Additionally, our school district plans to have a computer in each classroom for each kid by the next school year. My kids already do a large percentage of their homework on the computer. The computer grades it. I am sure thanks to Common Core that the computer teaches it too on the large promethium boards that are in each of our classrooms.

And yes some teachers do suck! We were stuck with the worst of the worst for my son’s 2nd grade teacher. Principal told me that our request not to have her could not be met do to the high volume of the same request from other parents. Took years to undo the damage that that abusive women did.

Agreed. This site is getting worse not better. I would prefer more quality of stories and less quantity. I have been visiting here less and less.

I am a woman and I don’t find that joke to be even a little offensive.
I do however find the money wasted on investigating this judge to be highly offensive.
