Remember Hillary, the “progessive” Democrat saying “it takes a village to raise a child”. Breakdown of the family, an end to private property ownership. The state will decide all facets of each life, because each life belongs to the state.

Not all of the apples are shiny and when you shake some of the 40w bulbs all you will hear is a faint rattle. Or as Ian Anderson might describe this guy, “thick as a brick”.

everybody is a victim of their environment, parents, schooling, ….blah, blah, blah

I’m feeling like Big Brother in the federal family has developed and incestuous homosexual attraction for parts of my anatomy. Can I get a govt voucher for vasoline?

probably tenured, probably can’t be fired, probably will continue to get paid even if he goes to jail.
Nidal Malik Nasan ... from the Fort Hood terrorist shooting is still being paid. Sad.
You stole my thunder.... What did he teach again? Trailer Park Studies?

.357, not a bad choice at all, but I prefer .45 ACP (also hollow points). Remember, shoot first, shoot twice, shoot to kill.

I agree, Ron Paul!. libertarian values are more like the Republican Parties platform than any Republican save Paul will measure against favorably.

more bread and circuses. this latest circus performer appears to have eaten a little too much bread.

All the co-opting of natural disasters being used as signs of X,Y or Z are indeed a warning! It is a warning to avoid listening to such blather from any fool that presumes to speak for an almighty God

I am a native Texan and libertarian. Rick Perry is a progressive Democrat with a thin veneer of big govt Republican as camouflage.

Naive if you think in establishment Pres would name Ron Paul as Secretary of the Treasury. I want Ron Paul for Pres. For those that disagree with some of his positions. please remember as Pres he cannot and more importantly will not be able to do as he wishes on many issues. As commander in chief he will be bale to do what either party refuses to do, move to a non-interventionist foreign policy (NOT an isolationist policy!) In this area alone we will save both blood and treasure an quit sending pallet loads of $100 dollar bills to try and “buy friends”. He would not dismantle the military but work to make it a more defensive force. Look at what we spend policing and bullying the world compared to the other nations it is insane and unsustainable.

A chartered catamaran in St Marten in Oct 2009 had an inexperienced skipper that dropped anchor in Marigot harbor and immediately began to back down on the anchor at about 2000rpm. Yanked the windlass right out of the bow of the boat. Dropping an anchor at speed is a major stupid thing, see Pirates of the Carribbean “club haul” their square rig boat, ie drop anchor at full sail to turn the boat and bring their guns to bear on the Black Pearl. Great in an action movie and stupid in real life.

Not a lot of deep thought in most of these posts. It appears, no research at all.

And I have had a liberal tell me FNC should not be on the air because “it is propoganda”.

Bad at math! Each hour of TV watched wastes an hour of your life. I’m not sure if it actually shortens your life unless it depresses you to the point of suicide.

Pelosi says unemployment checks create jobs and now the ag sec says food stamps are a job creator?….hummm seems to be theme from the progressives. I have an idea, throw all your trash out the window of your car on the freeway. That will create jobs for people to pick it up. Oh and don’t forget Fareed Zakharia. He says it is employing people productively to pay them to dig a ditch and then pay them to fill it in. Genius!
I think he's thinking of the WPA from depression times (but we aren't in a depression, right?) Except that they didn't pay one to dig and ditch and then fill it in. They repaired roads, built out-houses for schools (before indoor plumbing), etc. My grandpa split a job with another guy. He worked half the day and another man came in and relieved him. That way they both got some employment. The problem today is all these assistance programs take the shame out of depending on the government. it's become bragging rights. Look what I can scam the government out of.
My Mom used to work at Walt Disney World and everytime we took the kids for the day, if one of them dropped something on the ground, she'd tell them to leave it there because "it's job security". That kind of thinking pisses me off! You better believe they were made to pick up whatever they dropped because hubby & I believe you clean up after yourself & don't make more work for anyone! Need I tell you Mom's previous job was being a Union Organizer for 1199 (now SEIU). How fitting, huh?

As a native Texan I find this man to be little better than a snake oil salesman. Look at his record south of the Red River and you will find a lot more sizzle than steak.

Obama’s speech of the day was to blame partisanship (Republicans) for not being able to raise the debt ceiling so he can “invest” to “win the future” (sounds like a gamblers anonymous candidate to me). He also blamed the tsunami in Japan the “arab spring”, and the european financial problems on why he is still struggling to bail the USA out of the economic problems caused by…. wait for it… wait for it… !yes the past administration! (Bush not the Democratic congress). He wants critical “investments” in college education so young college students can add to the crippling debt bubble that Moodys now says is the next ecominc catastrophy awaiting us!

To Ms Larue and any others considering Rick Perry. I live in Texas and along with many other “thinking for themselves” types, do not want anything from Rick Perry but a resignation letter. He is being touted by FNC, Beck and others as some shining example, NOT! He is big govt all the way. The posturing towards Obama, gun control, etc. is just that. We have had a heck of a time whith his turning over our existing highways to toll contracts. He has tried to jam through a Trans Texas Corridor in support of NAFTA/North American alliance that was going to create a huge scar accross Texas. He has tried to force an immunization effort through. NO to Rick Perry!
I too am a Texan, and Perry is an establishment republican. As I see it, his "day of prayer" was nothing more than a show.
Think bout this, and think about it HARD; both Clinton and Obama were great speech givers, and look what we got. Perry will be no better then Mitt Rino.
I am from Texas, too!
AMEN AND AMEN AND AMEN!!!
The YEARS he fought for AMERO policies against the Texas CONSERVATIVES - PASSIONATELY!
They cannot find a comparable CONSERVATIVE ISSUE not related to a CAMPAIGN SEASON that he fought for - NOT A SINGLE SOLITARY ONE!
He may LOOK like the Texas Cowboy Hero they want to come in and fix things - they should think when they see him - Gypsy Con Artist. They - are - not - VETTING - him.
Look at the vetting that Sarah has been through!
After all we've been through - what are they doing being DAZZLED by an UN-VETTED CON ARTIST? NOW!!!!!!!
You are so wrong.
You are trying to change the subject.
Go troll somewhere else.
Repeal obamacare to start us on the road to recovery.

The Obama admin is exclusively culpable for many things but the rise of the police state is not one of them. This has been a “bi-partisna” exorcise in tyranny. The Patriot act which was written by ????? extends police powers horribly. An election will not solve the problem of the growth of the police state. I believe that that ascendency of libertarian ideals is our best hope.
