If I caught one of my employees playing poker while they were suppose to be working, I would fire them. And get this, my employees aren’t deciding if we should go to war are not.

Really good BlazeCast today re: Syria. I recommend watching, if you missed it.

I agree Goodstuff. My biggest problem with the comment section is keeping up with my previous posts. There needs to be a better way of locating a post that I made yesterday. Right now I have to click on my name, find the post I want to look at to see if someone replied, then make sure I note the time because I will have to hunt that post unless I was lucky enough to remember what page my original post was posted on.

I mean, even on the least attractive forums, you get a message stating someone replied to your post in your e-mail or in that forum. I don’t understand why that wasn’t put into practice here at the very beginning.

I used to make comments on nearly every story. Now I post occasionally. I get frustrated trying to keep track of my old comments and my new comments. Plus, I would say, 40% of the time my comment would never show or disappear.

    Happy Birthday!

@Just Happy ~ Usually there is a link at the top of the page that says something like:
“Watch the BlazeCast at 2pm est.” ~ In the red or gray bar. Sometimes it is even in the stories to the right of the carosel (the pictures that move). I actually get an e-mail. If you sign up, you have the option of having an e-mail sent to you everyday the BlazeCast is on. I like that option, but you don’t have to sign up to watch if you don’t want to.

Anyway, today the BlazeCast is suppose to start at 2pm est, be on the lookout on the top on the page. I usually see it about 1:45pm est (sometimes earlier, sometimes a little later).

Oh, you know what, I’ll also post a link to today’s show here in case you can’t find the one on the front page.

Our business is located in TN, however we travel to different states for work (construction). These taxes, rules, regulations, etc. are everywhere. They are never the same either. Everytime we go to a different place I have to make sure I check federal, state, county, and city regulations, taxes, licenses, insurances, pay rate, etc. It’s ridiculous how much time it takes to research everything. – AND after all of that is done, most of the time something has changed.

LOL! I saw what you did there!

~ Thanks for the laugh. I had a tough day, this was so unexpected I actually did laugh out loud!

I had never seen that video about the black hole! HAHAHAHA!!! Funny stuff right there!

“Undercover Metro officers met with the suspects about 30 times”

Why? Were they helping to plot scenarios? Did the two expect to do the dirty deed or did they think their new undercover friends were going to do it? Out of all the people in the group, a 67 year old woman and a creepy 42 year old man were the only two that would go along with the plot or what? Or did the group consist of only 2 people?

I haven’t read the story yet, but I just had to let you know that the headline made me laugh! Nice job Madeleine.

OR…. it could be the mother of the child. There are people that use their sick/disabled children to get attention. Not saying it was her, but it might be. Sad that it is even a possibility.

This is one of the most ridiculous stories I have seen. Who supported his decision to sue? Other police? His family? Friends? I know I would have said “Don’t do it.”.

  • August 18, 2013 at 12:01pm

And you would have no problem what so ever if she had said “Christians are disgusting” instead of gay people right? No problem what so ever. You’d just say ‘Oh well that’s just her opinion’.

NO. I have no problem with it whatsoever. There is the answer to your question.

I hear “Christians are idiots” frequently. Usually by atheists. Do I care? Not one bit. I choose not to be offended when someone states their opinion. We are not all the same. We all have different points of view. Getting offended is a waste of my time.

I have seen Ratt in concert in the 80′s. It was a terrible site. Poison opened and put on such a great show, that when Ratt came on – it was just sad.

A couple years ago I went to a concert in Michigan and saw Dokken, Cinderella, and Poison. It was a really good show.

I honestly don’t understand the sudden interest in rodeo clowns. I was at a fair in Texas two years ago (around July 4th) and there were clowns with masks of the presidents from Nixon to Obama. They were introduced one at a time into the ring and received both cheers and boos. After all the intros were over, bulls were let into the ring and they all scattered. The last one in the ring was the winner. George H.W. Bush happened to win on the night I was there.

In 2007, I was at a rodeo in TN and there were two rodeo clowns with masks – Hillary & Bush. They would chase each other from time to time throughout the rodeo.

This year I saw no masks at the rodeo because I ended up going on mule night. So I saw mules playing musical chairs.

I don’t see where race comes into this at all.

I beg to differ. If the people shopping at WalMart were dressing in dress shirts, ties, a pair of appropriate fitting shorts, and sandals – I might actually take a step inside the store.

My story is personal. I called to get health insurance years ago when all three of our children were at home. The going rate at the time was $610 a month. Instead of purchasing the insurance, we decided to stick that amount of money in an envelope every month. I have had hospital stays, including a week stay in Vanderbuilt getting EEG’s for seizures. I went 7 years with an undiagnosed seizure condition. I have had nearly every test under the sun. I am well aware of the cost.

With that being said, I can tell you I have no medical bills. How? Negotiation. Every hospital and doctor office I have been at has given me a discount for paying upfront, in cash. The average discount 72%. However, I have gotten up to an 85% discount. Not to mention the free medicine they give out, those are the free samples they get from the Rx companies.

I just wanted to point out that some of us choose not to buy health insurance. My family can go to any doctor any time. We don’t need permission from an insurance company. We are happy with the choice we made.

~ At this time we do have health ins. As business owners, we had to have a plan because of the new ins. mandate. Not exactly sure what the mandate will be, but I know everyone will have to have insurance.

Even though you question is silly, I am really wanting to hear the answer. I bet it will be hilarious!
