  • Someone should point out that the states are not petitioning to secede (as the headline states), it is merely private citizens signing a private petition to that effect.

It is certainly a interesting idea to ponder. Keep in mind the red states would have a GNP roughly equal to Bolivia. It is hard to see what their exports would be. It is also very unclear how many “red” states would actually be willing to leave America and jump to this new, largely agricultural country. Does anyone really believe a fence would be needed to keep blue state America from fleeing into red state America? I mean, think about it for a moment.

  • My experience with reading and commenting on three popular conservative sites is that Tea Party people do not show rage, but rather fear and extreme despondency. I have read countless articles and posts about the end of America. The re-election to Obama, to them, signals a dramatic break in history and now the future holds only death and destruction.

How one mediocre politician can be the bringer of such destruction is a mystery? But I know that any attempt to point to a bright future will be met with great hostility from them. I expect that with time these feelings will go away.

  • Please keep in mind, dear conservatives, that the ADA was signed into law by non other than George H.W. Bush.

  • I recognize the slippery slow of this type of commitment. I only want to see it done in the most obvious of situations. But we all know what a crazy with a gun can do. When this individual says:

Sharpen my axe; I’m here to sever heads

I worry about his sanity and his propensity towards violence. I would rather he be evaluated in a mental facility than read about 15 killed at the mall.

  • No scandal here. Sorry, but skinny dipping is good clean fun.

  • President Obama has never actually met George. If I were suddenly told I had a half-brother in Kenya that was a hardcore drug addict, I am not sure what my response would be. Sending cash would only hasten his demise as it would increase his intake of drugs and booze. Generally, not much can be done to help the addicted until they are ready to quit.

  • And they say Tea Party folks are racist…

  • Calling jews pigs or monkeys, or calling a black person a monkey rank as the most degrading insults that can be hurled at someone. It implies that the subject of the insult is not human, but subhuman. Why some seem oblivious to the import of the insult is a mystery.

I am thankful for many things in my life, especially that I do not live in Arizona.

  • I would love to hear about the slow and steady progress of Agenda 21. For example, how many state legislatures have passed Agenda 21 into law? What’s that? None.

How many local governments have voted it into law? Hmmm. None, right?

So this is just another Glenn Beck special. Getting folks all riled up about absolutely nothing.

  • The wild card in this issue is the definition of natural born citizen. It is never defined in the constitution. This needs to go before the supreme court before it can ever be resolved. They don’t seem very interested in resolving the issue as Obama has been in office almost 4 years and they could have addressed it if they wanted to. Likewise, the republican establishment has show no interest in trying to bring the issue to the supreme court.
