  Resturant profit margins are small and hard to maintain. If you don’t mind your $10 burger going up to $20 then paying servers a living wage isn’t a problem. However, should that happen you will long for the good old days, when you’re expected contribution to the server’s wage was only 20%.

  This person is n a$$. Those that work for tips work harder than most of us. We know many people in the service industry. Most of them voted against Obama in 2012, and many voted against him in 2008.

  A tip is not a gift. A TIP is “To Insure Promptness”, and not tipping is theft of service. If you can’t afford (financially or morally) to tip appropriately go to Burger King and have it your way.

  PS:
  If you pull this crap NEVER return to the establishment. They all know who you are on sight.

  Old Theatre Trick – Dried Onion Juice on his finger. That’s why he did it twice. The first wipe excites the tear duct, gets a little flow going, then dip the dry onion juice fingertip in the budgeoning tear and whola! Tears – real, wet, coming from your eye – tears. Good enough for Community Theatre!
