  • The dad asked other kids in his son’s class about the sentence. A girl said the teacher only gave the assignment to a few students after the lawyer left. Not to all the kids. Which would have made sense had the teacher had a leson about the peope who were against the Constittion being written(it was a rather controversial doument in its day because it canceled out the Declaration of Independence)Did anyone think to ask WHY the teacher only had a few kids write the words? It souunds like after finding out THAT it was done it was worth so getting upset about the parent didn’t ask the next logical question.

  • Ooh, bad move, asking kids to PRETEND something for a school creative writing assignment. Especialy when it doesn’t go along with your viewpoint. Seems like if Common Core gets shut down it’ll be by people who are so insecure with their own beliefs that they can’t stand it when anyone challenges them or their kids to consider why the beliefs are there in the first place. Knowing why someone thiks they way they do is the reason behind getting people to think about the other side of an issue. What do you think the term “playing devil’s advocate” means? What d you think Glenn does when he knows how to argue the other side of what he believes in? It’s called being well-rounded and a critical thinker. Part and parcel of why “Common Core” seems to exist. Not to indoctrinate kids. Well, not unless the indoctrinating is to keep them small-minded.

  • The woman who stomped on the signs would have had more of a point if she were to ask the group if any of them would actually adopt the baby they are trying to save. Since she is so concerned about babies born to women on drugs having pro-life sign carriers adopting right from the get-go and paying for the person to get born would save a lifetime of her having to pay taxes for the wrong reasons.

  • One piece of advice for people who don’t want to live in New York City. Don’t live there. That includes Jeremy Irons as well. Why is it that Libertarians hate rules that only says what people CAN’T do and then tell everyone not to go to the places that have them? That hypocritical. Some people actually might enjoy living in places where there are government rules that keep people healthy. Isn’t Libertarianism a belief that says “whatever floats your boat”? If so then anyone who dislikes Mayor Bloomberg and other Progressives really don’t need to say anything. Unless they want to be the best advertisment for someone wanting to go to New York.

  • Never trust most people commenting on Blaze stories. They SAY they are all for states rights but when it comes to actually hearing how various states have their own laws regarding guns they do a complete 180. What do you guys think states rights MEANS? Everyone who travels internationally pays attention to the laws of the countries they visit but can’t be bothered to follow the laws our own nation has. This woman is a criminal for bringing her gun into a place that says she shouldn’t. Even if she had the gun and the ammo in different parts of her luggage.

  • Even though the Envy family seems strange with three adults living in the house they were still wiling to work with Gina Louden at least halfway. That didn’t sit wel with her OR her husband who couldn’t keep to the rules of no politics and no religion. The Lodens were the intolerant ones. Especially Mr. Loyuden since he brought out his Bible whenever possible and making a joke out of the money jar. They couldn’t even bother with doing the roundtable at the end of the show. I cheered for Chris Envy when he told the kids the girlfriend wasn’t going anywhere(for all intents and purposes sge is part of the family and a second mom)and especially when he told Gina it was his house so she should leave. The Loudens were so absolutely full of themselcves it was painful top watch. It’s wondered if the kids got to keep doing what Angela changed around for them. They seemed to like those things a lot.

  • Oh goodie, it’s a battle of indoctrinations. Theirs vs. the one we got. You know, the one where schools, TV, books and the rest of life said we should strive for the American dream. Owning stuff and moving to the suburbs and retiring at a certain age. Learning out of the same book at at the same rate of speed and way everyone else learned. Seems like the “indoctrination” kids wil be getting will have them not faling through the cracks of life. How exactly is that a bad thing?

  • The Israeli presidenthad to plant it instead of testing it first, it’s not a photo op to drape an unplanted tree in netting. But kudos to everyone for doing the right thing. There’s probably nothing wrong with it but it’s just good sense to test plants that cross international borders. Because the tree could easily get the whole garden to die if there was anything wrong with it.

It’s neat The Blaze had a news clip, people get to see a commercial from Israel as well. That was fun! Thank you for having the clip.

  • Stupid question time but nobody has ever given a good answer to it. What is so wrong with giving people information? Doing it gets clerks and personal shopers able to sugest things when you’re in their store. The shopper even gets to be a preferred customer if they shop there often enough. With all the people here not wanting to shop at Target that means there’s more for us who do. Who cares about the politics of what groups they spend the money on, the store sells good stuff. But then again Target used to be the Marshall Fields outlet store. Anyone who remembers Marshall Fields KNOWS it’s a given about how good the Target products are.

  • If he had work related stress that he had to take a year off for then why didn’t he quit his job before going to Australia and getting filmed by a news crew? Who knows, maybe he had been in Australia long before he was seen on the news. The charity was right to fire him, paying him to be on vacation for that long(even if he had ten years worth of sick days saved up) was pure idiocy. It was just a matter of time before what he was doing got found out about. This story is proof that age doesn’t beget wisdom.
