  • I call SHENANIGANS!

  • Have you ever watched the show The Mentalist. Great con men put on great shows. Only the people who want to believe see it. I myself call SHENANIGANS!!

  • @zipit, Yes the Eastern diamondback is the largest rattler in the US. I am in Tennessee and I keep a bite kit in my boat, RV and my house. I was lucky to have parents/grandparents to teach me where not to play as a lil girl. It seems rattlers & copperhead like to hang out near piles of rocks or downed logs. In the creeks the moccasins and coral snakes hang out in the roots of trees and low limbs. Only been bitten by harmless snakes I use to catch. I have had my heart in my throat a few times. Was swimming in a clear creek when a coral came swimming about a foot from my face. Pulled up a minnow trap to find a copperhead eating my minnows. I went to take a short cut to school 1 morning, I heard the tail rattle. I stopped looked around and about 5ft in front of me was a fat 5 or 6 ft Eastern diamondback. laying in the sun not curled up. I backed up and didn’t go that way for a long time. I live about 45 min away from a hospital. I love living the the country but you just have to watch and listen where you walk. I keep about 2 acres around my house mowed. I never see big ones in the open grass. The ones I see are babies and don’t make it. The chickens kill and eat the babies. We don’t go to the creek or woods without a walking stick and pistol. Now if the lil corgi would just learn to leave them alone. She got bitten in OCT. Lucky it was just a baby copperhead about 12″. But still made a large hole in her jaw. All healed now, just an odd fur pattern left.

  • Okay, so maybe they had the poodles at the market. as the person buys the dog, the salesman says I’ll get a box. The fluffy ferret goes home in the box instead of the seen poodle.

  • Sounds about right. @21, I joined the Navy. A year later I got married. 12 years later @ 34 & 36 I had kids. We didn’t want to move kids around every 2 years. Changing schools every 2 years is hard on kids. We had fun just enjoying life. We knew the clock was ticking. Now we are entering a new life. One of birthday parties and lost teeth. IMO being a couple for so long, gave us time to be on the same page. So when we had babies, we didn’t have to fight over silly things. We where settled by the time they started school. New job, town, state, and home after 20 years of marriage. It’s as if we hit the start over button. All our family and friends who are our age are grandparents. That has its pros and cons. The fact is I’d do it again. It’s better to party and explore while young and have kids later. Finding your soul mate early makes the journey more fun!

  • Geez I’m glad I’m not in her family. A bunch of back stabbers. Good family and friends show up with a shovel, bleach, lye and heavy plastic not the police!

  • Yes, They will eat anything that moves! I caught a 2 inch baby largemouth many years ago. I put him in a 75 gal aquarium with only a 12 inch placo and feeder guppies. He grew fast after 2 years he out grew my tank and was released back to the lake he came from. During the time we had him he would attack what ever would fit in his mouth. His main diet was gold fish. But to mix it up he got earth worms, crickets, frogs, meal worms and mice. Any time we tossed something in the tank it was gone before it hit the water. Except the mice. He seemed to watch them swim for a few seconds. Swimming just below them and watching. Then poof gone! He was a smart fish. He only got excited if we came to the tank with something in our hand. He would jump up after the bag of gold fish or the blue box of worms. While cleaning his tank he would rub up against my arm I’d play with him. However, as he got bigger he killed the plants and big snails. Only thing he didn’t destroy was the rocks and he moved them around. Just be thankful they don’t get to 100 lbs. We would be a food source. I wouldn’t swim in the water LOL

  • I grew up in TN. Then got restless joined the Navy to get out of TN. I lived in FL,GA,TX,WI,IL,VA and Italy. Every state had it’s likes dislikes. Married a Northern Californian. After our served time we chose to move to TN. He hated his home state and I loved mine. We liked Wisconsin but it was too cold. VA taxes everything same as GA and IL. Texas and Florida where too hot and the palmetto bugs(AKA giant roaches) freaked me out. The point is I had to leave TN for 18 years to figure out it wasn’t so bad after all LOL. If you stay away from Memphis and Nashville. They are filling with progressive out of states people. Who are coming to TN for the tax breaks but are changing the laws and regulations. Soon it will be like NC. Sad but true.

  • Don’t mess with farmers and ranchers. Everyone I have known carries a gun. Got to protect the livestock and corn from snakes, coyote, and rabid critters. He just didn’t think rabid critters included fugitives! When I’m out with my chickens, I carry. Everything loves chickens!

  • Get off the grid, quit paying the man and get put on the government radar. They do not want people to be self sufficient. The government knows what’s best for it’s people.
