i agree whole-heartedly…she shouldn’t be punished…she should be rewarded and recognized for being the decent human being that she is

in a land where there is an excess of food that gets thrown out into dumpsters, there is no excuse for any child going hungry…where there is an excess, charity is a duty and an obligation, not a ‘choice’
Where charity is a duty is government .. aka taxes ... it should be a choice and this lady should not be punished for making that choice.

islam is a cancer…like a cancer cell, it spreads malignancy to whatever it touches…like a cancer, it thrives on the destruction of healthy cells…like a cancer, it converts healthy cells into more cancer…these beasts need to be put down, every last one of them…and like a cancer, the best way to kill it is by radiation…lots of it…to hell with political correctness, it equals moral bankruptcy…we know the last Crusade is coming, led by the One who used to hang on the Cross

I’d lay even money that if those scumbags do get a nuke, they might have a little 10,000,000 degree “accident” while trying to transport it, and that the Israelis might have something to do with it

It’s all very simple to solve – ask a muslim if he believes that the God of the Christians is the same god as allah – the answer will be a swift “No!”, because muslims believe that Christians are polytheists.

Indeed…but reattach them to the earlobes as a flashy fashion accessory….nothing says “I’m a real man who rapes 12-yr olds” like his ‘boys’ hanging from his ears

If the 6-day war of ’67 had gone the other way, and the arabs had won and taken Israel’s land, do you think for one second the arabs would give it back if asked now?

No offense, but the Pope is the Head of State of the Vatican City State, so he has an obligation to be in the political arena.

CC re 2 Tim 3:15-17 that you quote….back the truck up and add 2 Tim 3:14 into the context….St Paul encourages Timothy to keep what he has been taught because of who taught him. 2 Tim 3:15-17 mentions no connection of works to salvation, nor of the self-sufficiency of good works, only that the scriptures equip him for good works…just as air is necessary for life, it is not the only requirement..food and water are also necessary. Scripture does not state that it is the only thing needed for salvation, nor that is is self-sufficient. The rest of what is needed for salvation is in the Magisterium and the sacraments – this is why you need to go ‘extra-biblical’.

CC re “flavour” – why the desire to obfuscate one’s true identity? how can one have a ‘truthful’ exchange if one party hides their face? to say it doesn’t matter which faith one belongs to shows a lack of understanding of faith. when someone attacks my Catholic faith, i kinda like to know who it is. my point in the context of my original post is that one ought to examine themselves before pointing fingers at someone else. Although I do get tired of Catholic bashers by times, I am not surprised by it. Christ told us that we would be reviled and have all kinds of calumny thrown at us. The fact that the evil one has infiltrated the Catholic Church is no surprise, nor is the fact that he is concentrating his efforts against the Catholic faith in particular – he is trying to take down his largest threat first. Also, I am not attemping to change the topic at all – I am responding to what Rap posted – he opened the door. The defense of my religion is an obligation given me and all Catholics by the Lord. Some non-Catholics have been used to getting away with whatever calumny they wish to commit against Catholics, and don’t like it when we do stand up for our faith. Do we condone sexual abuse of children..of course not. Do we want to be rid of this plague? of course we do. Does your faith tradition have its own problems, too? More than likely. We are all sinners. To label my Catholic faith as ‘satanic’ isn’t very godly either, and I will defend it against detractors.

The Eucharist is not pointless nor evil…Jesus commanded believers to commemorate His sacrifice in Luke 22:19 through the Eucharist…so, if non-belief is rebellion and deserving of eternal damnation, and if opposition to God is satanic, then you have condemned yourself, because you don’t believe in nor commemorate the Eucharistic sacrifice which Jesus commanded that we remember and keep. Fortunately for you and for many, Jesus’ sacrifice is still being commemorated in the Catholic Church in observance of His command, and He awaits your approach to His table, to the Feast of the Lamb, His living presence.

and to which ‘flavour’ of Christianity do you profess to belong, so that others who may wish to bash your religion can pick it apart and denounce it as a cult? or are you not an equal opportunity basher?

Why is allowing sharia law into the US even an issue? separation of church and state as the dems like to say…US law should prevail..anything else is borderline sedition…you live in the US? then you live by US law, there is no other
true, but Now you got folks from different parties talking about the folks from various religious groups of folks who are doing terrible things to folks who are other folks, and in general, folks are suffering, but it's pretty random and our folks shouldn't bother thinking about bad folks because our folks need to be thinking about our poor folks, minority folks, and folks who happened to find themselves on us folk's side of the border……yikes!

See the song “He’s my son” by mark Schultz. God doesn’t put these precious little ones here for us to change them, they are perfect in His creation. He puts them here to change *us*.
