  • An 8th grader doesn’t understand sarcasm. They would not understand this as a “joke”. This is a backhanded criticism. Children CAN be emotionally hurt easily at this age and public embarassment does not improve behavior long term. The teacher needed to talk with the parent about her concern instead of embarasing the child in front of others. That is unnecessary and punitive. Sorry.

  • Different question: What about the CHILD in this PSA?? You’ve seen comments after an ad that say “No animal was injured in creation of this ad”. I am in support of protecting children, but what about this child? How did they approve that?? Poor kid. The blood and marks could be fake but it looks like the child was hurt in this ad. Maybe there is another way to communicate it. There are plenty of abuse photos available.. I know…

  • I so appreciate Glenn’s suggestion to prepare. It caused me to research and develop some emergency food plans. While both over-buying and under-buying are extremes some planning is reasonable. You have to decide how much you want to rely on others versus yourself. I don’t by gas for my car every day. I fill the tank. I plan ahead for food also. When I hear weather warnings of various types I just sit back and thank God (and Glenn) that I did some preparation so I can care for my family and neighbors if needed.

  • Facial recognition software is just creepy! I downloaded the lastest version of Picasa to sort my photos on my computer and search for duplicates and it identified all the pictures with matching PEOPLE in them and asked.. Is this the same person? It was weird! It found all the photos of my brother-in-law and grouped them together regardless of file name. Jussst.. creepy.

  • Outstanding! Great summary and presentation! Not running for President? Too bad, but he’s young and is now seeing how ridiculous and manipulative politics really is. The more he learns the more horrified I think he’ll be. I hope he keeps speaking out.

  • Bill Maher is consistently rude, crude and generally horrible, but I think it is better to “know thine enemy” than to ignore him. As much as I hate to see what is happening in the world, I need to continue to be aware of it. I wanted to know what he said, but didn’t want to watch it so I’m glad the Blaze posted a summary of what was said. I have a choice to watch or not.

  • Yes. This was no accident. This was planned, scripted and yes, a high quality camera and equipment was used.
