  The dog is obviously a Dogo Argentino, as stated by the owner. There is no pitbull in the breed although all dogs are related if you go far back enough.

  Dogo Argentinos are a mastiff breed, also called molossers. They were bred from Cordoba fighting dogs, great Danes, Pyranees and other breeds.

  Please stop calling it a pitbull. It isn’t.

  The bite was a snap that took a portion of the anchor’s lip off. Unfortunate as it was, you don’t put your face that close to any dog you don’t know.

  Enough said.
