According to your Exegesis Jesus told Peter that being the Son of God means Jesus is a Pebble and on that Pebble Jesus would build His church. Makes no sense, this is what happens when we try to twist Jesus words to fit man made doctrines, It just doesn't work. The fabric of scripture is perfectly woven together by the Holy Spirit so that everything fits together PERFECTLY, there are no contradictions, there is no confusion, it's only when we grasp one thread and pull it that the entire fabric becomes distorted. It is not possible to twist even one verse or passage of truth and have it not distort or contradict the other passages. In this regard Protest-ant theology is an either-or proposition whereas the truth of scripture is both-and. For instance God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever should believe in Him might be saved AND Not everyone who calls Jesus Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heave but ONLY those who DO the will of Jesus Father Who is in Heaven AND we are justified by what we DO and NOT by Faith Alone AND anyone who eats the bread and drinks the cup without recognizing the Body and Blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ eats and drinks condemnation upon himself AND If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left AND the CHURCH Is the Pillar and Bulwark of Truth. : )
(Jn 3:16, Matt 7:21, Jm 2:24, 1 Cor 11:27-29, Heb 10:26, 1 Tim 3:15)
@CHRISTIANNATION - I just want you to know although my post appeared directly beneath yours it was not directed at you. Sometimes The Blaze misplaces my posts. My post was in reply to someone else, I have to admit I am not much at "Blogging" and should have used an @recipient to avoid any confusion.
Reply to SNOOOP1E. You said, "it’s only when we grasp one thread and pull it that the entire fabric becomes distorted." Then the erroneous statement: "Not everyone who calls Jesus Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heave but ONLY those who DO the will of Jesus Father Who is in Heaven AND we are justified by what we DO and NOT by Faith Alone."
The Apostle Paul says,"For there is no distinction, since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, they are now justified by his grace as a GIFT, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." (Romans 3: 23-24)
It is a simple, perfect thread, that is why he has given us the "GIFT" of grace, no work can ever attain a place in heaven. Honey, Jesus did all the work on the cross.
@MERMAID - Mermaid "Honey" all that I did was quote you scripture, your argument is not with me it is with the Holy Spirit, those are not my words they the words of the Holy Spirit. You assigned a belief to the scripture I quoted and then challenged that belief. You built a straw man and then tore it down. I simply quoted you scripture, if something in scripture causes you distress because it appears to contradict what you have come to believe your argument is not with me it is with the Holy Spirit . I think if you read Romans in light of all other scripture instead of reading all scripture in light of Romans this might help. Paul's letter s do not cancel out other verses in the Bible. It's BOTH/AND not EITHER/OR. St Peter warned that Paul's writings are difficult to understand and the ignorant and unstable twist them as they do many other scriptures to their own destruction. Is it possible you are focusing on one or 2 verses that support what you believe while failing to recognize the other verses that contradict what you believe? James 2:24, Matt 7:21, Eph 5:3-12, Rom 10:26. Remember all scripture should be in harmony not in conflict, no verses cancel out other verses.
P.S. My wife said stop calling other women's husbands "Honey" ; ) she is joking......

@GHOST This man did not retire, he left the service. Even when you retire, your medical is not free, reduced yes, not free.

@ALTAOIL2 I couldn’t agree more. Both parties were wrong and no one needs to become unemployed by this situation. Learn and move on.

@MADNESS Thanks for the link. Already sent my letter. We have got to stop these people.

Me too. I never saw anything about the skin color but my first thought was who keeps a 4 yo up until 3am?

You obviously are a troll. Glenn does not tell any of us what to do. We are big boys and girls and can make our own decisions once we have gathered all information. Go somewhere else will you?

My question to Mr. King and Mr. Buffet is, do you take any tax deductions when you file? If so, stop. This will cause you to be taxed on your entire income and not only part of it. If everyone paid the taxes that are owed then there would be no need to raise taxes.

I like your idea.

NAS Oceana was opened in 1943 in the middle of no where. The city of Virginia Beach has continued to build around that base although the Navy has protested. Accidents happen.

@COFEMALE You obvisously are not a NASCAR fan. NASCAR has a very large female fan base.

I beleive that Soros is an evil guy and that he owns lots of shares of Westport, but I don’t think that $400,000.00 in donations to campaigns makes a conspiracy. Just saying.
I'm with ya...This guy is evil, but he's also an investor ...Even this site pointed out why this would be a sound investment...You think Soros or Buffet would miss this?..Sure, Obama is pushing Nat. Gas...He has to, everything else is going bankrupt...Answer honestly, are you really surprised that he's invested there?...Or surprised this speech was in front of the largest fleet of Nat. Gas vehicles? Vegas has used these vehicles for sometime now, and it's a good thing...Sorry that "Ol' Spooky Dude" knows how to invest...Oil will always be needed no matter what they come up with, but this is a sound gas saver...But with many using Nat. Gas to heat their homes, cost of course will off set any savings the working class will see...Kind of like our corn crop...We have to find many ways to off set oil...Burning food supplies, or an efficient home energy supply, will not save money but will slow our need for foreign oils..We still need ideas that don't burn our food, or raise the cost of owning a home.
No one can give 400,000 to a campaign. The only people giving Very large sums of money are republicans giving millions to the Newt and Romney Super PACs

I think they should read the first amendment and realize that only CONGRESS is prohibited from passes laws that dictate a specific religion.
Even if Courts hadn’t long ago ruled that the Fourteenth Amendment extended the protections of the Bill of Rights to all levels of government, the Texas State Constitution, like just about all state constitutions specifically reaffirms them.
Sec. 6. FREEDOM OF WORSHIP. All men have a natural and indefeasible right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences. No man shall be compelled to attend, erect or support any place of worship, or to maintain any ministry against his consent. No human authority ought, in any case whatever, to control or interfere with the rights of conscience in matters of religion, and NO PREFERENCE SHALL EVER BE GIVEN BY LAW TO ANY RELIGIOUS SOCIETY OR MODE OF WORSHIP. But it shall be the duty of the Legislature to pass such laws as may be necessary to protect equally every religious denomination in the peaceable enjoyment of its own mode of public worship.
That being said, I’m not claiming that there’s anything unconstitutional about this event, as long as the State isn’t paying for it.
@chet; Eh, the state isn't paying for it ... You really should read the article, and then maybe your own response, your own post explains why there is no problem with this event ... Except with the people that want to impose their religion on everyone else ... the atheists maybe?..
I assumed that was the case, though on my first reading I missed the paragraph where it was explicitly stated. Of course, it will probably cost the state something for the Governor’s transportation and security, but unlike people who howl every time the President takes a night off, I recognize this as necessary to ensure that public officials don’t have to give up all their rights as citizens, and a reasonable expenditure when one considers that a Governor or President makes a fraction of the salary of a business CEO for an equally or more stressful job.

@BUSHIE I didn’t vote for him the first time and will not vote for him this time either.

Why is it ok for the POTUS and FLOTUS to use tax dollars to go on a date in NYC but Governor Christie can’t use a state vehicle to watch his kids play sports? Double standards I say.
We have separation of church and state to prohibit the Congress from dictating a religion, not so every dirtbag that wants 15 mins of fame can cause chaos and disrupt events. The Rainbow flag is just as much a symbol as anything else.

Imagine that. Who would have thought this would happen??

@TOMMEE we know that the prices will eventually come down but the real point is that we will not have a choice as to the type of bulbs we use. The government needs to stop telling us what to buy and how to live our lives.
