  We actually really love this show…it is kind of different, but it’s hilarious if you give it have a chance. This was really a very odd opening, but we didn’t take offense at all. It showed that one character liked him enough to buy his book and it turned out really weird. It’s OK to not take everything seriously.

  My heart is breaking for this sweet little town. We were just in Waco last week (we live in Utah). The video makes me choke up every time, that poor little boy. I love Texas (native).

  @Hayes, this isn’t about giving him a win, it’s about giving two boys a chance to show what they are made of. It’s not as if this boy will now be getting scholarships he did not earn. I for one need these kinds of stories to stay in the news…it’s so bad out there right now and hope in humanity (especially from our youth) is what we need.

  I understand your point and I actually agree. However, this is where Mercy comes in. God does not leave us, should we leave each other? Life is about learning and progressing. Some may stumble more than others. It’s not like the gov’t is forcing this officer to do it, he did it out of the goodness of his heart and that’s the way itr’s supposed to be.

  Awesome! Those kids work hard – even when people trash them. The LDS missionaries have high standards and morals which only adds to an area. Good on them!

  I keep thinking of the line from Pollyanna when she tells the preacher, “No one owns a church.” A paster, bishop, preacher, minister, rabbi, whatever, is not beholden to any government.
