  It’s not that complicated. The Federal governmnet is NOT in the marriage business. They issue no licenses.

  HOWEVER, the federal government does recognize the institution of marriage (defined by the states). The federal government also establishes rules regarding federal benefits to married couples.

  Now, if a single state CHANGES the definition of marriage – you in effect have a state DICTATING to the federal government a new set of rules that the federal government certainly has an interest in.

  Yes, at that point it is completely understandable for the federal government to say to states “define marriage anyway you llike – but for our purposes regarding federal law – we will not recognize your NEW definition of marriage; we the federal gov’t will not be FORCED by a single state to confer benefits to marriage contracts that were NEVER consiidered at the time we created these statutes and rules”

  Why is this so hard fo people to understand? Because the media wants it to be about gay “rights” – not common sense.

  I am saddened to see the Blaze unable to figure this out.

  Has anyneelse noticed tha Glenn Beck and th Blaze have been silent on the homosexual marriage issue?

  Beck is literally doing everything possible to avoid discussing this issue. He is ranting about Bloomberg everyday – a non issue for anyone outside of New York; but he is ignoring the homosexual marriage issue.

  What is teh point of the Blaze? We have a massive media in the US and they are daily propagandizing in favor of homosexual marriage; they are belittling Christians and conservatoves who object.

  And where is Beck and his media empire? No where to be found.

  Let me tell you something folks, Glenn Beck is looking to make a ton of cash and he has no interest in the “truth” no matter how many times he tells you otherwise.

  It’s Easter week – the oral fabric of America is being destroyed bfore our eyes – and there is Glenn Beck, afraid to speak out against homosexual marriage.

  Maybe he is in favor of homosexual marriage. Who knows?

  It is not possible to support homosexual “marriage” and be Christian. they are mutually exclusive. If you support homosexual “marriage” you are not a Christian.

  Exactly what is teh purpose of “conservatie media?”

  The Blaze, National Review, Human Events, etc. are all strangely silent this week as the left prepares to ram homosexual marriage through the courts.

  Beck is always going on and on and on about “truth” – but he is awol on the homosexual marriage issue.

  just another pundit without conviction. He’s going to build his media empire – of course he is. But will they stand for anything? No. By the time it is built it will be unrecognizable – just another 24 hour news source with pundits who don’t believe in anything – except making money.

  The silence is deafening. Beck doesn;t want to take on homosexual lobbyists. He just wants to build a media empire.

  Hey Blaze – stop giving this woman so much coverage. I know – she wears heavy-rimmed glasses, so she MUST be smart, right?

  Cupp’s position on this issue is idiotic. She says Republicans shouldn’t be bullied into accepting gay marriage but they must embrace gay republicans and republicans who support gay martriage.

  No. Wrong. Idiotic.

  The supporters of gay marriage within the conservative movement are a tiny minority. If Cupp wants to be part of the minority – go for it! But in a political movement the minority movement looks for ways to agree with the majority.

  In other words, pro-homosexual republicans are going to have to find ways to be happy agreeing with conservatives on a lot of issues – but they will not get agreement on homosexual buffoonery.

  It is absurd to say “well teh majority is going to have to find ways to appeal to every minority position”

  This will FRACTURE the party!

  The conservative movement is not going to throw out Christians and Christian morality to make S.E. Cupp and her homosexual friends happy. It is NOT happening.

  There us nothing wrong with Morrissey being a vegan. There is nothing wrong with him refusing to go on the show. Is his terminology extreme and silly? Of course – he’s a British singer and by definition they are extreme and silly. The whole meat is murder schtick is tolerated by fans – because 99% of his music has nothing to do with his radical vegan views.

  However, Duck Dynasty is a loser show and people who watch it are wasting their precious time on earth. It is a moron show.

  The Smiths on the other hand were a great band – with many great songs. Morrissey is a capable singer. Overall – the Smiths and Morrissey entertain fans of music. Does he offend? Sometimes.

  But in a capitalist economy – we don’t HAVE to agree with our entertainers politics. We don’t HAVE to like everything they do or every song they sing. It’s okay. I can liek a lot of the music and still think his vegan positions are ludicrous and embarrassing.

  The Smiths are much more interesting than Duck Dynasty morons – but what am I going to do about it? People want mindless “reality” TV.

  Lastly, Willie Nelson is far more offensive than Morrissey. Morrissey is a disaffected gloomy artist who says annoying things from time to time. Willie Nelson is a buffoon-leftist-hippie-pot-smoking tool. But I still like to listen to some of his songs.

  The world won’t listen.
