Well how about this…the Jesus that I know would NEVER tell me to strap a bomb on my body and blow it up on a crowded bus or restaurant to see how many infidels I could kill. The Jesus that I know tells me I should love my neighbor as myself, and if that neighbor is my enemy, I am still to love them.
Right and its God loving C.I.A Christians that train and supply this misguided pawns to do this Federally sponsored terrorism all over the world. satan is not the doer of evil, he is the influence and regulator of it. By the way Japan is the victim of the biggest terrorist strike the world has ever known.

Just helped my grandson (3rd grader) with his Common Core math homework. OH. MY. GOSH! I am great with decimals and fractions, but I gotta say, they way they are teaching that is so off the mark. I could not wrap my head around it and there is no math book to refer to for help. I was so angry. I almost sent a note to his teacher about it, but what would be the point? She has no control over it.
Down a few is a comment by pva47 that sums it all up nicely.
They don't want anyone "wrapping their head around" anything but the deadly notion of servitude to the state, aka, "the common good".
A thinking human is slippery in the hands of tyrants.

I wonder how the treatment he received from the senior pastor, harsh taskmaster were his words, compared to a cross and spikes at the hands of Roman soldiers. I wonder if how he was treated compared to being whipped, kicked and spit upon by Church guards and religious followers and scholars. When Jesus said to be a disciple you must take up your cross and follow him, did he think he would be following him to a walk in the park? To be a disciple is to be crucified with Christ…dying to self. He apparently didn’t get it. And apparently didn’t understand scripture when it says that there will be a great falling away and there will be false prophets. So when things don’t go by the way of your OWN will, you just decide that there is no God.
You know, MAYBE the fact that your response to criticism of your religious leaders is to get defensive, make apologies, and blindly close ranks around them, is a large part of WHY there's so many stories of awful and/or corrupt and/or abusive (sexual or otherwise) individuals among their ranks (from the most prominent to the most obscure)--a population who, if their claims were TRUE, we would THINK would have at least SOME measure more commitment to the WALK of the TALK, so-to-speak (like if you REALLY had a line to god, and REALLY knew which parts of Christian theology were true, not that any need be, you would THINK it would make one A LOT more motivated and committed to the prescribed PRACTICE). PERHAPS credulous acceptance of arbitrary authority is a BAD model for GOOD leadership.

TrooNorth, Where do you think the “Central Government” gets the money to distribute to the non-workers?

Mil.dot, for all the problems there are here, this is still the greatest country in the world. If ya don’t love her, then leave her. We won’t stop ya.

I have been trained in CPR and although it has been a few years, I remember it…it is not a hard thing. I don’t think I would hesitate to use it if I were in that situation. They no longer train using the mouth to mouth, only compressions. I don’t know if that is the case in every state or not, but it is in Ohio. This is in accordance with the American Heart Association.

She lives by “The Way of the Master”. If you have not read it or watched it, I strongly recommend it.
"The Way of the Master" only works against a certain type of person. It also insists that the person being talked to believe that there actually IS "a god" and one that "is as shown in the bible". Without these two "statements", . . . the "Way of the Master" technique is useless, . . . and some of them can even be thrown back at them. But that's for another day.

Stick to your guns, Miss Scarlett. Don’t let anyone bully you into changing your support for Israel!!

My husband had our grandson at the DQ when he was 6 and they decided to eat their icecream outside on a picnic bench. There were 3 teens that sat down opposite my husband and grandson, 2 boys and a girl around 16. The girl proceeded to curse and use the F word every other word. Finally my husband told my grandson to throw away their napkins and head for the car. When he was out of earshot, my husband looked at that girl and said, “Do you kiss your mother with that mouth? Could you not see there was a child sitting here?” She did not say one word (I figured she would mouth off) and he left. He was boiling when he got home. It doesn’t hurt to say something.

The anti-Christ will live in Israel, probably Jerusalem. Everything he does mirrors Jesus. Yes he will be comfortable anywhere and everywhere. But his hate is aimed at particularly the Hebrew nation since it birthed the Messiah. We are in the end times. It is amazing to see Revelation (and Daniel and Ezekiel) unfold before our eyes.
Not to nitpick, but where does it say he will live in Israel? It says he will come from the north (presumably from the north of Israel, which could be from anywhere north of where Israel is located now or at the time of the writing). I believe it also indicates that Babylon will be his seat of power (whether that means where Babylon was located at the time of the writing or that Babylon will be resurrected for his pleasure is unknown). His hatred will not only be towards the Jewish nation, but also the Christian (see Rev. 12:17). I agree that he will mimic Christ, so as to deceive the world.
it does not mirror Jesus.

@Destroyer_of_Civilizations, you don’t see love, but you believe there is such a thing. You cannot see the air (and don’t say you can when it is cold out), yet you know it is there. Gravity…you cannot see gravity, but you have no doubt it exists. If you are seriously wanting to disprove the existence of God, do your research. Dig deep, read books, interview people. Do an unbiased investigation into it. Bigger men have done this to prove that God does not exist. I won’t tell you what you will find. Take matters into your own hands and PROVE there is no God.

There was not one word about an overweight person in this article. I simply said there were several reports of chair collapse, which would indicate a defective product. The rest of the article talked about finger amputation. I have a set just like this bought in December and no problems. Can you people even pretend to be nice?

Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
This is from the 20th chapter of John. The key here is receiving the Holy Spirit to forgive sin. Ultimately, God is the only one that can forgive sin because he is the only one worthy to do so. I have read a lot of religious dogma on here and the bottom line is Jesus. No other name.

Wow really??? I cannot believe the number of comments on here cheering this guy’s letter. Nobody and I mean nobody deserves to be insulted like that. This guy and none of you know this heavy man and none of you know why he is heavy or why he was on that flight. I wonder how many time this overweight guy has heard the comments and insults and derogatory remarks about his weight. I wonder how he feels about himself. I wonder if he feels worthless. He could have a medical condition that made him gain weight and he cannot lose it…I don’t know and you don’t know. I makes me want to cry to read such cruel and thoughtless comments. I know, based on what I have read, that you all will probably bash me, but I also know that these comments breaks the Father’s heart. And what breaks His heart, breaks mine. He is the only one that knows this man’s whole story.
