  • Harry Reid, evidently you really have no clue about the Tea Party. We are not anarchists. Anarchists do not want government, true enough. But the Tea Party is for limited government not no government. We want a government that is bound and limited to the United States Constitution. We want small government which leads to maximum freedom with maximum responsibility.

  • HappyConservative what does being against CISPA have to do with S.E: being against the conservative cause. Sorry but this bill is evil, it gives the government the power to spy on you at will. Sorry but I believe the Constitution says in the 4th Amendment:

he right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

As such we are protected from unreasonable search and seizures. As a Conservative I believe in maintaining the Constitution. Let’s not give up any rights that we may have for some security that cannot be guaranteed by our government.

  • Definitely the end of the small business entrepenuer. This bill will put more people out of work and decrease income tax while driving up social welfare benefits cost.

  • The Koran written after Muhammed as he could not write and it was passed down via oral traditions before it was written. Sorry but there is no way that the Bible could be a copy when it was completed by 100AD when the Apostle John died. Since the Koran came 500+ years later there is no way that it is a copy.

  • I agree with this decision 100%. If we go down the road to deny a citizen their due process rights according to the Constitution, where do we end. For our Constitution to mean anything we must be willing to enforce it, even when something as disgusting as this has occurred. We my despise what this man did but if you believe in the Constitution you cannot just suspend it as you wish.

  • The two people arrested were:

1 was a parent of one of the children in the school and he was trying to get them out of trouble and the other was a police officer from a nearby town. What more do you need. You must not have been paying attention if you did not hear that from the episode.

  • A livable wage for everyone is a fallacy. If everyone made a livable wage the price of all goods and services would increase thus making the current livable wage unlivable.

  • PhillyAtheist. Fact is what is the definition of evolution. As a creationist I do believe in evolution. There are variations with in different kinds. Look at dogs we go from Bull Mastiff to Chihuahua. With birds we go from vulture to humming bird. In fish we go from whale shark to Paedocypris. There is a variety but strange enough they are still all dogs, birds, fish and etc. I agree with micro-evolution as it has been observed.

However, the issue I have is macro-evolution where one species becomes another. This has never been observed and is very complex to happe i.e. the woodpecker needs 3 independent things to evolve to peck wood. 1. Thicker skull 2. Thicker beak 3. Interlocking neck muscles. All 3 are needed for its survival. If the skull was not extra thick it wood peck wood and its beak wood enter its brain and die, end of species. If the beak was not thicker its beak would crush as it pecked wood and it would die, end of species, if the neck muscles did not interlock keeping the neck straight it would peck wood and its neck would break, end of species.

Life is too complex to evolve slowly as there would be problems with incomplete wings, legs, lungs and etc. for the species to continue.

  • Pr 23:13-14 13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. 14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

When one talks of the rod it actually means spanking them with the rod. It was deemed the had was for love and the rod for correction and that spanking with the hand was not good.

But understand when scripture talks of punishment it means to use the least amount of force to correct the problem. But always it isn’t just spanking that helps but there needs to be reproof as well:

Pr 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

  • PositiveAOB Also it says here of the husbands and this is important:
    Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

Men are to love their wives as Christ loved the church. In other words husbands are to love their wives sacrificially, giving all of himself to her up to and including his own life. We are one flesh we are to respect them and give unto them. What scripture is saying here is that men and women have differing roles of which really one person can lead but it should always be in council with you wife taking her opinions into account but the ultimate responsibility is with the man.

Pr 5:18 Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
Ec 9:9 Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath give
