Although it pains me to say this, they should not receive Purple Hearts. Or any decoration. They did not receive their wounds on the battlefield or from enemy action. A Soldier who goes traitor is not an enemy combatant pursuant to the regulation. Sucks, but that’s the breaks. Tragic as this incident was, and as clearly as shooter wanted to be an enemy combatant, he wasn’t according to the definitions of the regulation.

Are you seriously going there? The Military tried to handle this. They had rules. But Congress is over riding those rules. The Administration is over riding those rules. This isn’t the Military’s baby. If they had their way, it be only men, only straight men. And before you try to say “only white men”…the Army was fully desegregated long before it was “re-desegregated”. The Military took care of that one on their own to, just to have a useless socialist president for them to stand to and change their ways.

That is a straw man argument. One that history has shown isn’t useable in this debate. Women any where near a dangerous environment (read a car) can be maimed and injured in ways you describe. You are arguing the wrong thing. As most people do in these areas. You are actually falling, nay, walking head up into the trap set by our opponents. They will point to injured women who were not in combat arms or on the front line and say “there is no front line”. You loose the argument.

The better talking point is that women can not meet the standards that millennia of combat has shown. It takes a litany of abilities that the average man doesn’t have, much less the above average woman. The fact is that women do not have the biology for it, the chemistry for it. Not sustained combat operations. They lack the physical strength, the adrenal system, the hormones. These are not make believe. These are facts. 1 one in 1000 will have what it takes. So now the second point, do you change the entire system for 1 woman? The answer…yes. But she MUST meet the standard. She does not get the protection of her gender. She showers, shaves, sh*ts, sleeps, eats, trains, fights and dies with her unit. She may be the only woman in the company.

But that is not what will be done. They WILL lower the standard, and we will suffer as a nation for it.

You have got to be smoking crack. The ultimate freedom, liberty in this world is the right to be stupid. You wanna smoke weed…you have a right to be stupid. If someone wants to sell weed to stupid people, that’s their God given right. That’s teh problem with people like you…you don’t get the irony. Until you stop trying to baby sit the masses, stop taking care of them, start holding them responsible for their stupid mistakes, let them be free to be stupid, and stop picking them up when they fall on their faces…YOU WILL NEVER BE FREE. You are enslaving yourself in the false dogma of protection from stupidity. You will be a slave for your entire life to your own inability to let people be responsible, wholey, for themselves. You should learn to walk over the down trodden and stupid. You’re neighbor has a right to get high, loose his job and starve to death. That’s his right. His choice. The kid was complying. At no point in that video was the kid EVER a danger to the cop. He reflexively moved up on to his toes when his privates were groped. The he was slammed. I know it wasn’t an ass whooping or anything, but it was violent non-the-less. The cop went over the line. Nothing was done by the kid that warranted that.

Not even “theft”. So he skipped out on paying for the fare. Big deal. Make him pay and send him on his way…or arrest him til he can arrange to pay the bill…but body slamming him, twice, is brutallity. It is jack booted thug brutatilty. And if you can’t see it now…when they come to your house and make every one submit to this nonsense…and they are going to…don’t cry.

This is the time to stop this ridiculous over reach of power. That cop should be fired, fined, and made to apologise. That kid should pay the fare, pay a fine and go on with his life.

This isn’t dressing in a “rebelious” way. This isn’t teenage nonsense. This is dangerous. Dress rebelious. Dress your generations defintion of cool. But there are limits. If you can’t run. You can’t fight. You can’t climb. You can’t squat. You can’t lift your leg…if you can’t do the basic movements required by humans in various situations…then you are setting yourself up for failure. Simple. What if there’s an emergy…a shooting incident at a bus stop, mall, school…this boy will be unable to move. What if he misjudges a car’s speed while crossing the street…he can’t run. What if he friend, or sister, or little brother isn’t paying attention while crossing the street…he can’t run to go get them out of harms way.

This is just stupid and dangerous to do that to yourself. Make it so you can’t react appropriately to the world you live in. Not only did his father do the RIGHT thing…he should have gone farther. Life doesn’t care that you want to wear your pants around your ass. Doesn’t care that you think they look cool 10 sizes to small. When life happens and you can’t react…you die. And others die.

And for the record…the father is where the buck stops. The home is where this lesson SHOULD be taught. Not legislatures. Homes. With fathers that teach their sons to be men. Men don’t tie their hands behind their backs on purpose.

Just incase no one realizes this…Fort Polk, like all Federal Installations is FEDERALLY OCCUPIED TERRITORY. They have the guns, they make the rules. They don’t care if a State’s law says no to same sex marriage. Irrelavent. About as relevant as it would be if it was happening at an embassy.

Don’t like it? Tough. Take your state back. Evict the Federal Government from your state. Otherwise…your next. Their laws supercede yours. And their Supreme Court rules that way rather consistently. In 1865 the discussion was settled. Maybe for good, who knows…but definitely for as long as they occupy the states overtly or covertly.

I am not an Alex Jones wack job, but the truth is the truth. I love my state of Louisiana, but they are powerless over this. There will be more marriages and ceremonies and in time they will be recognized by the UCMJ and by the courts and that will be that.

Let me get this straight, he WILLINGLY left school and the support of the teachers? He WILLINGLY went with the boys who harmed him? He WILLINGLY placed himself in a poorly defensive position in a basement?

And it’s the school’s fault? No, it’s his fault and his parents fault. At some point we have to teach kids that they are responsible for their decisions. Blaming other people for not protecting your child from his own actions is more than ridiculous and problematic.

The child/young man wasn’t properlly prepared for the world. He has no risk managment skills. No ability to defend himself and keep himself out of trouble. He is responsible for that. And his parents are ultimately the point of failure here.

My son was only called those names once. There was no second time. Yes…he had a rough couple years in school, but no one, I repeat NO ONE calls him names and picks on him any more. He took up for himself and I backed him up when teachers and administrators tried to call him on the carpet for his actions but let the student causing the problems get off free.

@Zorro, you’re kidding right? “You all” aren’t paying to feed “our” kids. You are paying for the six figure incomes of administrators, janitors, teachers…and you’re paying for the retirements of all those people. The reason they are having to find more money is because the don’t have enough money through taxes to pay their salaries, benefits, retirements AND school lunches. No, they shouldn’t be feeding any kids. But, neither should they be brainwashing…uh…teaching them either. So, don’t go off half cocked…finish the thought…you should educate your kid and feed them…or contract someone to do it for you. The STATE shouldn’t. Not ever.
