  If the wife of Bomber #1 was working 70-80 hours a week and he stayed home to take care of their daughter….where was the daughter during the marathon? Did mom stay home that day? There was no sign of her in all the footage, but if he was the one that took care of her while his wife worked all those hours…someone else had to know he was up to something, didn’t they?

  BOTH sides are being played for fools on this issue. They are arguing over how how the government defines marriage–its a false argument! The true argument is whether or not the government has ANY right to define marriage one way or the other! It DOES NOT. It is no more in the purview of the government than is defining the method of baptism as being “immersion” or “sprinkle”. Marriage, like Baptism, is a religious sacrament, and any attempt by the government to define it is a violation of the 1st Amendment. The government’s role is to ensure equal treatment under the law for all–so all they have the authority to do is to proclaim “civil unions” for EVERYONE. If you want to call it marriage, then its up to the church or religious organization you are a part of (or decide to join) to quantify the term, based on their beliefs. Allowing the government to define a sacrament opens ALL churches up to law suits for refusal, and thus we see the true goal of those in power and that is to control (and therefore be able to eliminate) religious freedom. Homosexual and Heterosexual couples alike (assuming the argument that no one brings up that pairs should somehow have different rights than singles) should be treated equally under the law–civil unions are the only consitutional way of doing that.

  I’m with HarryPotter on this one. It seems a little hypocritical to claim to be for freedom–except when it comes to what color the OWNER of PRIVATE property wants to paint his house. I hope he throws some stripes and polka dots up while he’s at it…it would still be far prettier to look at than the words on Westboro’s signs.

  Why doesn’t Andrea address the fact that we’ve got a generation of people who are not emotionally mature and are ill-equipped to handle the everyday frustrations and disappointments of life? They think they are protecting a child’s feelings with the “no winner/loser” sports, participation trophies, “feel good” approach to education…but every time they do this, they are robbing children of the opportunity to gain the skills to deal with disappointment. Then when a big matter comes up, they implode–and we will never know what, when, where, they could snap or what they will choose to use.

  I think the gun-ban group have an uncanny ability to “project”. Clearly they think that is what THEY would do with a gun. It never occurs to me to shoot someone I care about–even when I’m arguing with them!

  That’s exactly the impression I got–that we were witnessing a person’s eyes just starting to open. I think the artist started off in a “defensive” manner–an honestly why wouldn’t he? He didn’t know what to expect–but then I think he was dumbfounded to learn that his own notions were incorrect…and a flicker of light appeared!

  Good tips! Those plastic jugs that kitty litter is sold in can be sterilized with a little bleach and make excellent water storage. I also use them for storing rice, sugar & flour.
