  Uh, thinking you miss the pontiff’s point entirely.

  He is not saying everyone is getting into heaven, is he? Doesn’t the Bible say that Christ died for all that we may have life? It takes an action from us, though: Acceptance of that salvation. Jesus even said, though, that works alone will not get you into heaven but to not stop doing them. Just because a person hasn’t accepted salvation doesn’t mean they’re incapable of good, just as Jesus said.
