I wouldn’t want to frequent a private business that didn’t want to serve me. I, like a normal person who does not have a chip on her shoulder, would just go somewhere else! That’s what any NORMAL person would do!

Rand Paul would have more class than to prop his feet up on the “old desk” in the Oval Office. To my knowledge, the current _resident is the only one classless enough to do that.
Joseph Smith taught faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands (confirmation), and enduring to the end. How does this conflict with the Bible?

McSledge – Don’t you just love it when people who are not members of our Church try to tell us what we believe?
For those of you who are NOT members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – I KNOW that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world! We Latter-day Saints believe in God the Heavenly Father, in Jesus Christ His Son, and in the Holy Ghost.
Yes, a typical response from a Mormon. You people always say you believe what Christians believe but that is a complete lie.
You do not believe in the divinity of Christ.
You teach that men can become Gods
You believe that God the father was a man
You teach salvation by works not faith.
And much much more. The sad thing is that nice people get sucked into the cult and miss out on walking with Christ in a truth and spirit.
Oh, and if you can't see that Jo Smith was a conman and a pervert then you are truly blind. Golden tablets and seer stones. Sheesh, doesn't it bother you that he practiced occultism to get his "revalations"?
Copper Brigham Young taught that Adam is the Mormon God, what happened was the Prophet wrong ? He worked along side of Joseph Smith .
Copper, since you don't like others telling you what the doctrines of the Mormon church are, I will let you tell us.
1. Do you believe in the deity of Christ? (That Christ is and has always been God.)
2. Do you believe that men can become Gods?
3. Do you believe that God was once a man?
4. Do you believe that Jesus Christ and Satan were brothers?
5. Do you believe that Jesus Christ had a creator?
6. Do you believe that Jesus Christ has existed since eternity past?
Let's just start with those six simple ones. A "yes" or "no" answer for each should suffice, though you may feel free to elaborate if you choose to do so.

Grover, why don’t you just move to Russia, where Marxism is accepted, rather than stay here in a country you think needs “fundamental transformation”? You would be much happier there, and the whole country wouldn’t have to change just for you and 0bama.
I mean this with no malice. I would love for you to stay here, if you agree with the principles upon which our nation was founded.

I accept myself as I am and go about the business of living my life charitably. I lose my focus sometimes, but I eventually get back on track.

Please invite missionaries over to explain to you why Latter-day Saints ARE Christians! I did that in October of 2012. They did such a good job that I was baptized 11 days later, at age 66! At the very least, you will have a wonderful chat with them, and they will clear up misconceptions you might have about the Church.
It only matters whom God judges as saved! In the end, my opinion/judgment of others doesn’t matter.
Here's an interview with a former Mormon professor at BYU:
She describes how after being raised in a Christian home she became a Mormon after having such a visit.
You have been deceived. A Christian does not believe that God was once a man and that men can become gods with their own planet and people to worship him. And Joseph Smith does not decide who gets into Heaven. You need to read Jesus Christ/Joseph Smith, A Search for Truth by Floyd C. McElveen. The blasphemy, heresy and apostasy of Mormonism will lead you to Hell.
Jesus Christ is the son of God. Just because its in the name of your church doesn't mean you believe it.
Lets face it, its just a giant business.
I'm a Catholic who spent months talking with a couple of LDS missionaries. We prayed together, we discussed the Bible, and we parted ways. Once they heard I would not be "baptized" in the LDS faith because I was already baptized in the Catholic faith, all communications stopped. Interesting to note that the Catholic church accepts many forms of baptism but not the LDS "baptism" because they do not baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. LDS do not believe in the Triune God so they cannot be considered true Christians.
@808Patriot: This is what I found on the LDS website, step 4. seems to be pretty clear:
The ordinance of baptism is performed only by a worthy priest or Melchizedek Priesthood holder under the direction of the presiding authority. The priesthood holder:
1. Stands in the water with the person to be baptized.
2. (For convenience and safety) holds the person’s right wrist with his left hand; the person being baptized holds the priesthood holder’s left wrist with his or her left hand.
3. Raises his right arm to the square.
4. States the person’s full name and says, “Having been commissioned of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen” (D&C 20:73).
5. Has the person hold his or her nose with the right hand (for convenience); then the priesthood holder places his right hand high on the person’s back and immerses the person completely, including the person’s clothing.
6. Helps the person come up out of the water.
Each baptism must be witnessed by two priests or Melchizedek Priesthood holders, who make sure it is performed properly. The baptism must be repeated if the prayer was not stated accurately or if part of the body or clothing of the person being baptized was not immersed completely.
808Patriot - I am sorry to hear that your friendship did not continue.
Whether the churches accept all forms of baptism is beside the point. What does God require?
Christ made it clear to Nicodemus, that unless a man be born of the water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.
Does baptism have to be performed by one with authority? YES! Does God accept all baptisms? NO! Those who had been baptized by John, where rebaptized by Christ's Apostles.
Baptism serves for the remission of sins AND entrance into Christ's Church (The Kingdom of God on earth).
We know this for a fact in The New Testament. Acts 19: 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Who will be saved and who will go to hell? What are the conditions of salvation?
