Intercalation in the scriptures is nothing new. We’ve known for a long time that “the sandwich” technique is used frequently in Hebrew writings. The news here is what? There’s no secret code. Intercalation in Mark has been studied quite a bit.

I appreciate that the results of the pregnancy test lead to the statement that a baby is growing, not simply tissue. One poster said that a human begins at time of heartbeat. Another said that perhaps it’s at time of brain waves. Another said that it’s at time of conception. What about when the spirit enters? I guess they’re all possibilities.

However, if a human begins at conception and anything after that is murder, some birth control methods would necessarily be illegal, i.e.: read Copper Intrauterine Device (IUD). The IUD can dislodge a fertilized egg from the uterus before the woman knows she’s pregnant. Would that be murder? In order to make a hard fast law about abortion we must know when life begins? Do we determine this by defining life in terms of biology, physics, etc?

I suggest that life biologically begins at conception and that the life is a human person. For, left to develop, these cells grow into a recognizable human.

When a growing life form is stopped, death occurs. When is it murder? In case of complications, when a father is forced to decide which of his loved ones lives, does his decision lead to murder of mother or child? If the mother is the victim of the crime of rape or incest, does the decision to abort constitute murder? Manslaughter? Wrongful death? Not easy questions.

Correction: The computer does not crash, only the current application. All other applications are left alone.
