  • Unbelievable. This is the saddest day for the scouts over my 17 years with 3 sons that all progressed from little tigers through Eagle scouts with the organization. I predict 10 scouts will leave for every one they might pick up in enrollment. The majority of the gay community putting this pressure on don’t want to join scouting. They want to destroy it. Foolish. Heartbreaking.
The real trouble is just beginning with this decision. Openly gay adult leaders are next, and then atheists. We are witnessing the beginning of the end of a great organization which is becoming a meaningless shell of its former self.

  • With the report that the terrorists first ran down the victim in a car, it’s easy to conclude that if it happened in the U.S., Eric Holder would call it a clear case of road rage.

  • ‘“Most of the guns used to commit violence here in Mexico come from the United States,” Obama said.’
Like no other president before him, He Would Know!

  • 1) If you wouldn’t put your 14 year old daughter overnight in a tent with a 17 year old boy who wasn’t related to them, why would you allow your 14 year old son in a tent on a camping trip with an openly gay 17 year old?
    2) Sorry, by definition a man who likes boys is gay, but I agree not all gays like boys. I think it is largely unknown how many are attracted, but if so the consequences of the law, thankfully, stops them from acting on it, just as there are a lot of 25 year old guys that might think a 16 year old girl is attractive.

  • Granted I expect it doesn’t happen weekly or anything, but has no one ever committed suicide at a large public sporting event before? …Or is it just reported that way.

  • Dr Mengele, I presume?

  • “European countries should [pick up] their [shovels] and adopt more “[hole-deepening] policies.”

  • Isn’t it so that the Fed is dumping up to a trillion dollars of “printed” money annually into buying Fannie and Freddie loan assets? (80 or so billion a month X 12 months X indefinite duration of QE3) So it’s easy to plow immense amounts of money into Mr. Obama’s new housing welfare program of guaranteeing new bad loans, and he officially isn’t increasing the deficit or raising real taxes to do it. Paying for all this is only the tax of inflation which won’t be seen for some time off and isn’t easily connected by the average voter to this policy…unless the seemingly impossible happens: the press actually recognizes it, points it out and does so repeatedly.

  • If you think about it, it makes perfect sense. Obama is using Freddie and Fannie as a taxpayer funded welfare program. A housing bubble will make the economy and him look good for a few years and it won’t collapse again until after he’s gone and then it will be someone else’s fault. What’s not to love?

  • Honestly only 1 billion in the hole? That’s nothing.

The city of Detroit, MI is reportedly 14 billion in the hole, including unfunded pension liabilities. That’s with a population of roughly twice the size of Stockton’s!
How much of a coincidence is it that it too has been run pretty much exclusively by liberal/progressive Democrats, for the last 50 years?

Detroit is coming under the control of a State appointed financial manager. Of course many are wailing in the streets to undermine this last chance to stave off bankruptcy and even Jesse Jackson was here running around screaming its “plantation-omics!”, what ever the heck that means.
