  • I may eventually watch your video, but for your information those holidays were co-opted by Christians in order to take their pagan influence out of a primarily pagan culture. Keeping a tree or keeping Easter bunnies and eggs as a tradition no more relate to our worship of Ēostre than eating meat meant you were no longer a Jew. Romans 14 comes to mind. You choose for yourself to believe what is unclean, and you believe it is unclean, thus it is unclean for you.

I worship Jesus and recognize the origins of these Holidays, but in the same way I was transformed (2 Corinthians 5:17), these holidays have become new and allow us to celebrate the Christ Mass together and unified. It’s a shame Christians continue to allow this disunity to rear its ugly head in the name of legalism. Colossians 2: 16-23

  • Who cares if there is a gay gene? Doctors say Alcoholism is genetic. Does that mean you have to become an alcoholic? Of course not. A genetic predisposition doesn’t define you. Unless your “homosexual”

BTW Psychologists are now saying pedophilia may be genetic and those people don’t have a choice. Does that mean we will soon be accepting pedophilia?

  • I don’t understand how a person can claim to have been inspired by Kant and still come away an athiest? Kantian philosophy rejects athiesm. Either he didn’t read it or he doesn’t understand it.

  • The answer to your first question is: Atlantean

  • Now, I don’t believe people are condemned to hell, they just don’t continue living after the resurrection. But to say piss on God, because you don’t think he should expect perfection is a bit naïve. If God wants everyone to go to heaven, that’s his choice. If God wants everyone to just go into oblivion after they die, again his choice. And if God thinks everyone should be condemned to hell for eternity, again his choice.

What exactly should God be understanding of? He’s God, in no way, shape, or form does he have to answer to us for anything. I am a Christian and if I meet God someday, and he says “Sorry, Falun Gong was the right answer.” Should I be upset? And Why?

  • Who is this guy to say genocide is wrong? Next he’s going to say slavery is absolutely wrong. After that he’s going to say abortion is absolutely wrong. Oh wait never mind, killing over 100,000 human beings every day is fine, because we wouldn’t want to inconvenience a person with being responsible for their actions and choices.

It’s his opinion there are absolute truths and relative ones. If a truth is absolute who decides it is absolute? Why does this guy get to be the authority on what is an absolute truth and what isn’t?

“One thing that concerns me is the dangers of taking morality from a supreme governing body.” Yeah, it would suck to have to actually be held accountable for your actions.

  • BTW the Crusades were originally fought to defend against Muslim invaders coming up through Greece into Western Europe. So, if you don’t care for the way Muslims are forced to live in their countries you should be thankful for the crusades and the efforts those people put forth to keep Christianity as the dominant religion in Europe.

I’m sure those of you who continually spew hate and lies aren’t interested, but for those who would like to know how Christianity has helped change the world, I would suggest the aptly named book, “How Christianity Changed the World.”

  • Jesus wasn’t’ born on Dec 25th and the bible doesn’t say when he was born. Claiming Horus was born on that day makes the Horus comparison very weak.

Isis being married to Osiris for quite a while before Horus was born also makes your virgin Comparison very weak. Also, seeing as the official story of Horus’s birth has Isis reclaiming the body parts of Osiris and molding them together into a phallus so she could impregnate herself also makes your comparison weak.

Seeing as the earliest recorded crucifixion was in 519 B.C. and not anywhere near the time of the Egyptian gods, makes your crucifixion comparison weak.

There is no historical record of a star or 3 kings visiting Horus at his birth and even if there were Jesus was visited by three Magi, thus your argument is still weak.

I don’t even know where you got the age 12 thing for Horus.

Horus only had 12 followers? Well, Jesus had 72 at one point, and then it went down to 12, and then it went to 11, because one betrayed him, and then it went up into the hundreds after the crucifixion and then billions after Pentecost. It’s a shame Horus only ever had 12 followers. Of course accounts say Horus had 4 semi-god followers, 16 noble followers, and many blacksmiths following him as well.

Egyptians weren’t baptized as adults they were immersed as newborns to purify them from their mothers’ wombs or when they died. Also, there is no record of Horus being baptized.

  • A “stroke’’ is the forward movement of the club made with the intention of striking at and moving the ball, but if a player checks his downswing voluntarily before the clubhead reaches the ball he has not made a stroke.

  • @ johnny
I know, the tips are counted toward, minimum wage. The server gets at least minimum wage. Are you slow or something? Their mandatory “gratuity” goes to the restaurant and like I said the restaurant can if they so choose disperse the money to the servers or they can choose not to. The restaurant has to make sure the server gets minimum wage. If the restaurant keeps whatever is extra from the mandatory “gratuity,” it’s their right.

BTW I could care less what is customary to tip. Tipping is not part of the bill. That you feel the need to give your money away is your prerogative, but there is no reason why you should have any say in where my money goes.

And as you said, “By the FLSA, so long as the end wage in $7.25 an hour, the restaurant can hold a walkout against the employee, and regularly does.” I guess it’s good they have their minimum wage.

I didn’t realize there were this many liberals on The Blaze.

It’s funny how you feel the need to quote movies as your source of inspiration, perhaps you should get a better job than serving tables at the local Applebee’s.

    @fftyranny
Of course the manager would cut the staff if it’s slow; they aren’t making any money to pay you.

The FLSA applies to all establishments across the United States, unfortunately. The stupid commerce clause keeps getting in the way. So, if you guys are so moronic as to say Minimum wage isn’t enough, You should advocate for raising it, like good li
