Freedom of choice truly escapes the narrow view of the left, doesn’t it Zappa? Supporting the ability of people to make personal choices to support, believe or do the way that they want does not require that the one emmulate that same choice in one’s own life. Allow me to explain using your examples.

I support home schooling because I believe that the standards and, subsequently, results have been lowered to the point that public education has become little more than an extended day care. As a result, the safety of students, faculty and staff at many schools is a real concern. Additionally, the institutionalized, leftist-driven doctrine dominating the educational system, which displays open bigotry toward those with differing points of view, is neither an environment I would want any child to learn from or suffer through. We will be home schooling our kids this year. If we had more funds and were not able to be at home, then a private school of our choice would be a better alternative than public school.

I support our troops, and I served. That doesn’t mean that I have to want my son to serve or go to war; however, he gets to choose as a free man.

I support freedom of religion. People can choose to believe and serve their God or nothingness at their own leisure and as long as it does not interfere with the rights of others to do the same. My support for your freedom doesn’t mean that I will not raise my kids to believe the way I believe. That’s stupid thinking,

Looks like Bruce Campbell. Wouldn’t it be unusual to see such a high profile guy without Secret Service protection only a couple weeks after the election?

People do support the rights of others. They do not support changing marriage. You are not being honest with the actual numbers. The vast majority DO NOT support gay marriage. However, every person should have equal rights. And, if you are going to argue taxes being higher as the only real benefit from marriage then perhaps you could be a bit less hypocritical. After all, aren’t the leftists like yourself and the rest of the gay community always pushing for tax increases like Obama and Buffett want? Suck it up!…in your own home, please.

No, Monice/Ecinom, it doesn’t sound like an excuse. It certainly doesn’t sound like something Obama or any leftist would say. Why not, you ask? Just ask yourself when the last time threats to someone’s livelihood and even life were made in order to disrupt, prevent or undermine a progressive group or event happened. We know where the intimidation, violence and “rhetoric” comes from. Your side. The Progressives (Socialists). Not to worry…you guys are finally feeling a little push back from years of utilizing these nefarious tactics. One day you’ll go too far, and even the media won’t be able to cover for you. Your guys and our guys will be there on that day, however, I’m not sure you guys will be there the next.

So, Encinom, you use that brain of yours to tell us that Beck opposes those he disagrees with? I think that qualifies you for a Nobel Prize. Let’s do a quick check of the requirements:

    1) Progressive (Socialist)?
    Check.

    2) Say something profoundly stupid, yet be considered profoundly intelligent by the elitists.
    Check.

Since you have done both one and two with your statement, you qualify for the award. Actually, you have done more to receive it than Obama. Good job!

No, Jenn. I think she knows more about carpet than tea.

Warrior, you are uninformed. Every soldier passes basic first aid training in…Basic Training. Most regular Army units will have some soldiers with Combat Lifesaver Training scattered sparsely throughout their ranks, in order to suppliment the medics indigenous or attached to the units. 75th Ranger Regiment goes beyond that by ensuring that every Ranger is a trained Combat Lifesaver. In addition, there is a smattering of Intermediate EMTs throughout the ranks. Of course there is also the actual medics, many of which have completed 18D (Special Forces) medic training, and PAs as well as the Batallion Surgeon. So, yeah, the amount of training, knowledge and availability of medical attention for Rangers is much more than you are assuming. To give you an idea of the level of certification and training the lowest level Ranger will have…….As a Combat Lifesaver I can make an airway for you if you can not breath…heck I can not only give you an IV, I can give one to myself if I don’t have a buddy to assist. With that level as the base line for Rangers, I’d say Rangers are leading the way on this front.

Take a good look, Blaze readers. Rose Ellen is the perfect example of what we are truly up against. That right there is a devout Marxist. Evil to the core. Rose Ellen is not an exaggeration. She could be any University professor, journalist (propagandist) or school teacher. She is why your news has been slanted for decades. She is why radicals and radical ideas come from college campuses. She is why our schools are suffering in math and science, yet flourishing in immoral behavior. Revisionist (fabrication) historians, cowardly revolutionaries, destroyers of nations, and ultimately slave masters living off the blood and labor of the peoples they professed to be making “equal”. Make no mistake, their ilk are born of evil. They will never stop striving for their communist utopias until they achieve it, and then make themselves and their cohorts your superiors at the point of a gun. Equality in their distorted (evil) view is simply everyone being equal……and they are just MORE equal.

What, in the entire history of Islam, makes you think that it is possible to placate Muslims?

Very informative! I’m happy to see that my support for the local company, Hess, has been a patriotic choice.

Very nice information. It also makes me feel good to know that my support of the local company, Hess, has been a patriotic choice.

How about the murderer who founded your sacred holiday……….Earth Day! Ahh, and just think how the left still considers him a hero. Don’t you feel clean all over? Drill please, and have a fantastic Easter weekend, Mrs. Socialist. And, please, do not take this Christian holiday away from us like Christmas.

    @jzs

Get that weak argument out of here. No one needs to be preached to by someone that is most likely leftist and, as such, pseudo-Christian at best. The novel is an excellent, and accurate, portrayal of what is wrong with our world today. Looters thought themselves to be altruistic and very progressive. Obviously people who are Looters do not represent Christian values, but God appeared no where in this novel. It is just slimy men (looters) regulating and taking from the men that prop up the world (producers).

If you want to knock Atlas Shrugged because Ayn Rand was an atheist, I think you should learn to be objective. Try to separate your government and religious beliefs a bit. The two do not and should not mix. I do not want my preacher to tell me how to vote, and I do not want my representatives to tell me how to pray.

BTW, is that you Jim Wallace?

It is sad in many ways. The incident is completely savage and repulsive. These women may have done permanent damage to this girl, and that has far reaching consequences on everyone from the victim to each of us, who may need to pony up tax dollars to help her live a somewhat normal life. I really hope that she will be alright, and I pray for her and her family. Lord knows that if she happens to be a mother and end up being handicapped by this incident it will compound the damage exponentially.

It is also sad that so many folks on here have written some things that are going to be used against our great movement, simply because they got extremely heated after seeing something so violent and evil. I do understand the emotion, guys, but the comments are stupid and over reaching. If hate effects you to the point where you are incapable of rational judgement while commenting on a public forum….take a break and don’t comment. Sure, it is wrong what happened and made more so by the fact that we know the double standard that will be imposed in this and many other similar cases. We are frustrated that there is no longer equal protection from the INjustice Department. However, we have to be smart and not play into the evil, yes you clowns are, hands of the socialists by spouting off stuff that you likely be embarrassed by after cooling down.

Another sad part of this is that we, mostly being realists who think rationally and logically, can see that racism is worsening in our nation. This is a direct result of leadership instigating strife, discontent and fear between folks. Race and class warfare has become the strategy of the left in order to gain power and then beat us into submission using a PC bat. The sad fact is, however, that there are racists in every group. That includes a few of our own, unfortunately. I disagree with any racism, and I think it stupid that people actually aren’t intelligent enough or maybe experienced enough outside their small boxes to realize that it has nothing to do with color. It may be social or cultural in some ways, but color don’t mean jack. It is all about how people are. Their upbringing. The content of their character. Ask yourself if you think that Allen West would have taken control of this situation. He’s a man. Sure, a black man, but more man that maybe a million folks of whatever color you want to compare him to.

Stop failing yourselves. You do not have to buy into the old tripe from any old tripe or opinion. It may be difficult at times (it will be) to keep a level head and respond with rational thought to the evil in the world today, but if you truly desire to win the good fight then you have to practice control and do the right thing. Don’t be a tool.

Can I tell you something? Collective Bargaining is not part of the 1st amendment. Additionally, Beck is not lying since this was:
    1) Not written by Beck
    2) Video tape evidence of these men saying that they plan to ignore the laws because they simply disagree with them.

If you disagree with paying taxes, yet the law says that you must pay, what would happen if you did not pay? What about murder? Can you ignore that law too? Which laws CAN we ignore? Who sets that standard you, me, Union Mobsters or legislatures elected in lawful elections and checked by lawfully appointed judiciary?

I truly won’t be surprised if you claim those on the left should dictate law from day to day, depending on how it fits their agenda. That would probably closer to the truth.

This foolish canard of an argument that keeps popping up is tiresome. You do not set budgetary policy such that you are relying upon progressively higher involuntary payments (i.e. taxes) to cover government over spending. You set your spending levels to fit projected income (tax) levels….just like they told you in Home Econ in high school . Buffett is saying that taxes should be raised to cover our ridiculous over spending. He also ignores the facts of Laffer and others that taxes reduced to reasonable levels will bring in more income because more people will actually pay them rather than lawyer up and hide the money like Geitner and others. Just ask Buffet why he employs tax lawyers. He knows the data and the track record of tax cuts stimulating the economy by unchaining the free market; however, he is an admitted progressive. That is why he says what he does. And, happily, Buffett has an impeccable reputation for having enough lawyers and money to skip out on much of what the government will charge others. He forecast the latest financial crisis four years ahead of time, while many conservatives knew even earlier that Barney Frank and the progressives meddling with the free market would lead to a potential crisis. There is no question who is right and who is wrong. In contrast to progressives who care so much that they condone taking your money, conservatives ask totally legitimate questions such as why progressives always want to increase taxes yet lack the conviction of their beliefs to pay even when it is voluntary…and some simply skip out on paying altogether. This is beyond stupid. Either you advocate rational policies or you keep quiet. Else, you are simply making noise.
