Yes! Which brings up one of my biggest questions? How do politicians get so rich in office…when they have no outside business or job? How can Obumma afford a multimillion dollar home when he retires when he has never held a real job except pres., which doesn’t pay enough for that??!!
Hi, There, CRWM~~~ There you go sounding like a THINKING PERSON.
Maybe you could become our reporter-in-chief at the embers, formally, THE BLAZE.
This story IS a good one, however.
Hooray for bringing this to our attention BLAZE.
Now, back to uncovering the TRUTH-filled answers to CRAZYRIGHTWINGMOM's excellent questions!
they make money from lobbyist.. look at it from the point that you spend money on food, vacation, entertainment, gym .. they don't.. they can save all that money .. also when they leave, they take any money they collected to use for election with them.
Which is why We need to Ban Lobbing ! We need term limits,Pay caps (No Public official should make more than median income for their districts…PERIOD,which would take care of the term limits :) anyone caught lobbing or taking bribes from, involved in any way unsavory, If proven guilty should Get An Auto 10 yrs in Real Federal Prison, general Population,That goes for insider Trading also..that should take care of that.
Because they game the system. They invest in a company and then get laws and policies enacted that directly benefit those companies. They get gifts from lobbyists. They don't pay their taxes. They raid their campaign donations. Beyond their salaries they get many expenses covered, by hook or by crook, on the taxpayer dime. There's probably even more to it than that, but that's a pretty good start.
you can even say he could have some PTSD going on with all the abuse he has taken from all sides and then also dealing with his own guilt for taking a young life which I believe is much of his problems today. it can;t have been easy all this time between the press, public opinion, lawyers, cop and the government coming down on him.

Weak resume???!! A real Law degree with High Honors from Harvard and Princeton, argued before the US Supreme Court, has great rock-solid beliefs and will sweep the garbage out of our government. Also:
The youngest and longest serving Soliciter General of Texas,
Taught Law at the University of Texas,
served on the FTC,
Law Clerk to William Rhenquist,
Served in the Department of Justice!!
What’s wrong with that, compared to a “community organizer” who never held a real job, was laughed at by the school where they were forced to give him a desk and a title of “guest lecturer,” i.e. Saul Alinsky propagandist. Good grief! We’re not going to get Jesus Christ to run for president in this life!!
Some seem to be having a wee bit of trouble comprehending it.
"I agree….so much easier to attack a Church that does not CONDONE rape and beheadings…how much longer can the world ignore these terrible atrocities?"
If the church you are referring to doesn't condone the behavior, why are there still 8,000 predators in that church and why is that church still promoting those involved with it and why are members of that church not fleeing it in droves in favor of independent churches where these predators do not exist.
And before you go off with the whole "There are Protestant churches with pedophiles," remember there isn't a big, single Protestant church and while there are some or many with pedophilia problems, there are plenty without. These are churches that actually follow God's Word and excommunicate those who display such behavior. They don't make excuses and they don't circle the wagons to save face. They simply do as instructed by God so that the bad leaven of predators isn't allowed to spread across the entire bread.
"why are there still 8,000 predators in that church"
If the Catholic church excommunicated EVERY sinner, there would be no one left to excommunicate the last sinner. Catholics believe there is ALWAYS hope for the sinner and if we turn them away from our doors, where would they go? What hope of salvation would they have if not with the Catholic church?
"why are members of that church not fleeing it in droves in favor of independent churches where these predators do not exist."
Predators hide very well in plain site; that's their MO. EVERY church whether Catholic, Christian, Muslim, or Jewish has predators. Every. Also, Catholics do not flee when there is trouble in the church; they band together and they fight the evil. God grant us strength and courage to fight the evil that exists within the Catholic church today and in the future.
"If the Catholic church excommunicated EVERY sinner, there would be no one left to excommunicate the last sinner."
The Bible makes it abundantly clear that this kind of behavior warrants excommunication and leaves no wiggle room. You can argue human reasoning or Catholic reasoning but the Bible is clear on the matter. No one here proposes every last sinner be excommunicated but you show the Catholic desperation to justify Catholic church behavior at all costs to save face and say "the Catholic church is always right," even when it goes directly against Scripture.
"Catholics believe there is ALWAYS hope for the sinner and if we turn them away from our doors, where would they go?" They should go where the Lord directs them but don't worry. Feel fre to put your church above God's Word and continue to prove that when it comes to Catholics, it's not God that is important, it's the Catholic church.
"What hope of salvation would they have if not with the Catholic church?" Ask God. He's the one who says to excommunicate them but I guess the Catholic church knows better than God, right?
1 Cor 5
"No one here proposes every last sinner be excommunicated but you show the Catholic desperation to justify Catholic church behavior at all costs to save face and say “the Catholic church is always right,” even when it goes directly against Scripture."
No Catholic including myself would ever claim the Catholic church is always right. We are made up and led by humans so there's always the possibility of making a mistake. Even the Pope can make mistakes though, when he speaks on dogma or what is our faith, he cannot speak in error because the Holy Spirit won't allow it to happen. Even with the worst popes in the middle ages, they did not speak in error about what counts: God. They abused their power and led others to sin but they didn't not change how the Catholic church understands God.
Perhaps it might also help your understanding if you knew excommunication is an act committed by the sinner and just made formal by the church. In other words, the church doesn't go out looking for sinners who they want to get rid of. On the contrary, the sinners are usually so public and blatant that the church cannot help to investigate whether the sinner is unrepentant and has purposefully cut themselves off from the grace that flows through the Sacraments administered by the church. The church wishes the sinner would repent and come back to the receive the grace from God but the church cannot force anyone to do so.
You cite 1 Corinthians 5. I presume you mean verse 13 "God will judge those outside. 'Purge the evil person from your midst.' ” Perhaps meaning men are to throw out others for being unworthy.
I offer verse 2 same book same chapter "And you are inflated with pride. Should you not rather have been sorrowful? The one who did this deed should be expelled from your midst."
Do you believe we commit a sin by believing we know better than others or are more righteous than others?
How about verse 6 "Your boasting is not appropriate. Do you not know that a little yeast leavens all the dough?"
Does our pridefulness "leaven" the dough of Christ's church? Should others perhaps throw us out to keep us from contaminating them as well?
God Bless you.
"We are made up and led by humans so there’s always the possibility of making a mistake." These aren't mistakes. These are intentional acts, intentional sins, committed by men who know better. Quit minimizing intentional pedophilia as just a mistake.
"Even the Pope can make mistakes though, when he speaks on dogma or what is our faith, he cannot speak in error because the Holy Spirit won’t allow it to happen." Though there is no biblical support for this.
"Even with the worst popes in the middle ages, they did not speak in error about what counts: God. They abused their power and led others to sin but they didn’t not change how the Catholic church understands God." If they led others to sin, they did change how the Catholic church understands God.
"Perhaps it might also help your understanding if you knew excommunication is an act committed by the sinner and just made formal by the church." Incorrect, it is church discipline. Read the Bible and a dictionary.
"The church wishes the sinner would repent and come back to the receive the grace from God but the church cannot force anyone to do so." The Bible is perfectly clear as to what is to be done. You Catholics ignore this because you put your faith in Catholicism, ignoring God's Word. When you do quote the Bible, it's out of context. It is simply a tool and not Scripture for you. You can keep rationalizing, "they just made mistakes," but God is clear that it's more than a mistake.
“You cite 1 Corinthians 5. I presume you mean…”
The title of 1 Cor 5 “Sexual Immorality Defiles the Church”
The first verse identifies it as behavior in the church, that it is worse than what pagans do.
The second shows that instead of being despondent over such a tragedy, the church is arrogant about it. (You see that here where the act is diminished as a simple mistake and proud proclamations about the church is made while the behavior continues.)
Verses 3 and 4 speak to spiritual presence and Paul’s authority from Jesus.
Verse 5 tells YOU and your CHURCH exactly what to do with the sexually immoral man and you’ll notice it has nothing to do with expressing hope for his repentance or trying to convince him of what he did is wrong, or as you put it, a mistake. It says, “you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.”
Verse 6 Then repeats the condemnation of the church’s pride and speaks to the effect which is keeping such a person in the church causes the entire church to become corrupted despite your claims that your priests, bishops, cardinals, and popes can commit all kinds of evil and cal it a mistake without it having any effect on the church. But again, you put the Catholic church before the Word of God.
Verse 7 repeats that you must remove the leaven (sinful person) from the lump (church) so that you can once again be holy and righteous.
Verse 8 shows that we don’t spend our efforts crying over the lost but that we instead celebrate that we are once again righteous and holy.
Verses 9 and 10 make it abundantly clear that we have to associate with all kinds of evil people because the world (outside Jesus’ church) is filled with such people and you cannot escape it.
Verse 11 then provides a long list of unrepentant sins that cannot be tolerated and require removal of a “believer.” You would call these “mistakes” but God calls them evil.
Verse 12 makes it clear these standards are only for those within His Church and not those outside.
Finally, verse 13 reinforces that our judgments and punishments are reserved for those in the church alone.
Your selective interpretation basically says, ignore the Word of God and just let the Catholic church do whatever it wishes in contravention to Scripture because "who am I to judge?"
The answer to that is simple.
"The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ."
The Catholics in this thread are the unspiritual man. They put their faith in the Catholic church and thus, do not receive the Holy Spirit and therefore cannot discern to judge.

I’m sure no troll…and while it’s lovely (anything with a sweet baby is lovely), maybe a blanket with a little flag would have been more appropriate. We should follow the code…so few old norms are followed these days. Or change the code.
