Pro-Lifers Target Famed Abortionist After Teacher’s Horrific Death Following Late-Term Abortion
February 13, 2013 at 6:11pm
keaton, it is uncertain whether a fetus experiences pain during the first trimester of development, when most abortions occur. However, recent studies have shown that the fetus most certainly does feel pain by the end the second trimester, when late-term and partial birth abortions are performed. Since general anesthesia is not used in most of these procedures, the fetus most likely feels pain during the procedure as limbs may be pulled off and scissors are used to puncture the base of its skull.

“Can’t take offense? Then don’t participate in freedom of speech.” Sounds like you are telling me not to participate. But yet, you also say “Opposition to a position is not “denying you freedom to speech”. Logic 101.” You, sir, are confused and have taken all that I have said in a defensive manner. You also appear to have some issues with us: “Big ol’ middle finger. One hopes VC gives these whining idiots one, but it’s doubtful that they will.” and “Half the natural world and the moon is sacred according to American Indians.” Well, here’s my freedom of speech – get a life and try to be a bit more civilized.

ghostofjefferson – did I attack your “freedom of speech and expression”? I was just freely expressing my thoughts on some of the comments. We (Indians) are the least likely to call racism but like any culture there are a few that can’t laugh at themselves. I don’t know what your culture is but sometimes you have to defend it by educating those that unknowlingly disrespect it, not by shutting down their freedom of speech but having a dialogue. I don’t think I’ve been “heavy and scornful”. And your last sentence actually is suggesting that I don’t participate in freedom of speech – how un-Jefferson of you.

We don’t – we very rarely call racism but, unfortunately, some white people cry it for us without consulting.

I am 3/4 Cree and this controversy has been going through Indian Country. We don’t like this use of our sacred regalia being used in this manner. I don’t think it is racist, I think it is poor judgment. And after reading most of the comments here I am disappointed in the low regard you have for us. We are trying to bring our culture back so our young ones can be proud once again to be Indian and this just makes a cartoon of something that is important to us.
