And BTW…you only went after Walmart and brought the media in, because it was the only one of the three that you could see in person…that they were NOT responsible meant NOTHING to you.

  • January 10, 2014 at 12:09am

Bottom line…if you tie employees up with having to wipe your butts all day, at the end of their 8 hour day they go home without having had time to pull recalled cards, fill ad merchandise, pull expired product, clean the pigsty you created and so on.

Sorry to remind people it is 2014…but the customer is no longer “always right” and no, in discount, department & retail stores…we do NOT have time to wait on you hand and foot. If you want that kind of service, then PAY for it by going to over priced stores.

  • January 9, 2014 at 11:56pm

For example…You come in and buy a Starbucks gift card for $25.00…that money is electronically sent to Starbucks the moment you paid for it. The store no longer has it and cannot get it back.

The store paid .03 to .10 cents for the card and did not get even a penny in profit from the sale…unless they got a promotional allowance for an independent display from the company.

No matter what problem you may have with the Starbucks card, you have to deal with them…because THEY have your money now.

  • January 9, 2014 at 11:50pm

The money paid is electronically transferred to the company who the card belongs to at once…the exact same way a store gets their money at once when you pay with a debit card.

As far as bad cards being recalled…yea, it happens all the time…and no it does always get done. At my location, we frequently don’t know a card has been recalled until it fails to scan at the register and we get a message telling us “Item cannot be sold” …and no, this isn’t the old days where we have a lot of employees standing around to make something like pulling a handful of cards off a huge display a priority. Especially when so much of your resources –payroll– is spent cleaning up after pigs, and having to help grown up people who won’t use their own brains.

Yeah, It may be my job to help you find the dozen items on your list because you are either too stupid or too lazy to do so yourself, but I have MANY jobs in these days of no payroll or help…and when I have to walk your dumb self to the toothpaste aisle –which is clearly marked– and then show you where the Colgate toothpaste is, and then which says “gel” on it, and then find the size that matches your coupon –all because YOU feel that this is what customer service is suppose to be and that it is “my job”– it means I’m not pulling those recalled cards when I should be!

I work for a company that sells tons of gift cards, so:
    1) Stores carry gift cards as a draw…we make nothing off of them. The cards cost the stores between .03 & .10 cents each which is why every store has tons.
    2) One second after you buy the card, the money leaves the place you bought it and goes to the card company…nothing the store does can get that money back.
    3) 99%of all card issues can be handled by calling the number on the back of the card you purchased…other than wanting a cash refund or a gift card from another company.

There was nothing Walmart could do…other than eat the loss (which no retailer is going to do) and he situation was resolved by Vanilla MasterCard once they were contacted…exactly how it is suppose to work.

And as far as “These large corporations sometimes they don’t care,” he said. “Their interest is only in the almighty buck.”…no duh buddy…it is called a business. That they did not wipe your butt for you in order for you to not have to make 1 lousy phone call…oh the shame.

    Worthless whiners.

Typical non sequitur spin…I say to stop focusing on abortion and instead focus on improving the morals of those who are born, and you jump to the idiotic conclusion –in order to use your tired remarks– that I am not only for abortion, but indeed, WANT them dead…and am even willing to kill them after age 10…absolutely pathetic.

No, we don’t have to care about them at all.
What we need to do, is to pull out anything and everything that is American from the middle east –other than support for Israel— and let them rot for the next 500 years on their own. Also, seal our southern border & stop allowing anyone from the middle east to set foot on USA soil…not even as a tourist. Then start deporting all that are already here if they have not lived up to the terms of their visa’s.
You want to send spies in to sabotage their nuclear capabilities…fine. Other than that, let them rot.

It is also easy to predict the following would have happened as well:
    1) We would have been in many more wars…mostly for oil to supply our larger population with energy.
    2) The draft would have been reinstated to insure that the poor and the minorities would have been the ones to die first.
    3) Terrorist attacks against us would have greatly increased, making 9/11 look trivial.
    4) Crime would be astronomical…causing the 2nd amendment –along with several others—to have been abolished by now.

BTW, I am very much AGAINST abortion…but am pro-choice because I believe they will happen anyway and would prefer that they be done in the open by doctors rater than by vets in a basement.

Which is why focus my energy on preventing the conception in the first place…by wanting to change music, games, magazines, advertising and PARENTING to allow “kids” to go back to being “kids”…instead of just a quick buck for some slimy product a company wants to sell.

How many people are on long term unemployment? Welfare? Food stamps? What percentage of the current population are “cradle to grave” entitlement junkies? How many people were uninsured, which started this whole Obamacare nightmare?

And you would prefer we had added ANOTHER 100 million people to the population? I mean, since the 54 million would have had kids & grandkids by now, it would total at least 100 million by now.

Why? So they could have lived…but in squalor & poverty…homeless and starving on the streets?

How much worse would the last several wars have been…or how many other wars would we have been in by now…since illegal or unwarranted wars seem to be the USA’s preferred method of killing of its own people to reduce the population.

Social security is all but certainly going to be bankrupt by 2025…and you would prefer we would have added another 200 million to the 2025 retirement roles by then?

Your “good fight” for these 54 million –if won– would have equaled the death of the majority of our population –if not all of it– by 2025.

Again I say to you all…stop focusing on abortion…instead, focus on the pathetic morals and parenting of those who lived…which would have equaled these 54 million having never been conceived in the first place.
