  Precisely- warn media consumers of the graphic content, and then let the consumer (or the parents) decide whether they want to see the details, or want their family to see such. it is not the place of the government, or the news media, to decide for us. if you don’t want to see it, don’t look at it, or send the kids out of the room, (or have them turn around so they can still hear the story and not the graphic content.) and, lo, and behold- problem solved. ( and if your kids still see it, talk to them, explain the situation and comfort them. don’t shield them, because they won’t know what to do when they encounter it without you there.)

  Thank you! Simply owning a gun does NOT make you a criminal, nor more likely to commit a crime. Using a gun for an illegal purpose, that is what makes you a problem. magazine size and fire rate do not matter. an illegal use is an illegal use, case closed.
