Wonderful story, but when I read about the wads of cash he was carrying, I couldn’t help remembering the 1941 classic ‘Sullivan’s Travels’ where a wealthy movie director played by Joel McRae did the same thing, got waylaid, and ended up in prison n a case of mistaken identity. Not to throw cold water on the idea, but I hope the benefactor had security nearby ‘just in case’….

    Shouldn’t the headline read ‘Veteran Left-Wing Sportscaster….’?

That’s nothing. In his autobiography, actor James Garner reveals he has smoked pot daily since he was in his early 30′s. He also revealed some of his political leanings, which are far left. I’d never have guessed. Who knew?

Unfortunately, I pretty much know how Pastor Warren feels. My son – also named Matthew and nearly the same age – suffered from the same anxieties and depression. When he took his life last November, what remains of my life, his mothers, and his brothers lives, has been devastated beyond belief and changed forever.

There are many who have posted here who obviously have never suffered a loss like this and don’t really know anyone who has. Many may feel they are immune from that sort of pain (It’ll never happen to ME…) I figured BLAZE readers would be somewhat compassionate, so it is surprising to see so many posting insensitive and downright cruel comments.

I’m not sure why kicking a man when he’s down gives some people pleasure. All I can say is faith in God, combined with a great church, has saved us. When you, too, have the rug pulled out from under you (WHEN, not IF), I urge you to allow God to help save your sanity too.

The news here is that senators are getting their news from NBC. We’re doomed.

My son committed suicide last year. He left no note. Except for the Iraq War experiences (my son was never in the military), this note could have been written by him. In fact, it felt as if he was speaking to me through Daniel’s note. It is apparent that the fundamental underlying anxiety and depression had been laying in Daniel’s mind for a long time, as it had been in my son. Though I never knew him, my heart grieves for Daniel and his family, and I can honestly say I have some idea what they are going through. Thanks so much to the Somers family for sharing his note.

I hear the sound of a crashing and burning Republican party, and mourn the death of Marco Rubio’s presidential chances. Get ready, here comes Hillary.

….hmmm…I see a tribal world with half the population of today, most riding donkeys and using donkey dung for heat in the remains of ancient castles that were the homes of today…as freedom dies, so will prosperity!

Stan the Man Musial.. By far….Unless they have to be living, in which case it’s a very short list but virtually none of the Readers Digest 100 would be there, except maybe Clint Eastwood.

Normally I wouldn’t say “I know how you feel”, except – I know how he feels. I lost my son at nearly same age to suicide last year. His name, too, was Matthew. He also suffered from years of depression and uncontrolled anxiety. And indeed, the day I found him was absolutely the worst day of my life. I am so sad for Pastor Warren and his family. It was hell on earth for us, no doubt it is for him too.

“NBC did not post an official version of the performance online”….The real question is not about whether the skit was funny or not, but rather, why did NBC pull the video? What ties do they have to Venezuela that caused them to do this? What exactly are they afraid of? Isn’t that the bigger issue here?

Come on, nobody watches that show except an occasional pundit or maybe Bill O’Reilly. Elizabeth will look good on Fox – or GBTV!

This is why Barack Obama can use a drone to kill an American sipping coffee in a coffee shop in San Francisco, taking out a dozen or so innocent bystanders, and get away with it. Forget what he says to Rand Paul.

Does someone else insist on putting Colmes in? Has O’Reilly no control? I’m all for fair and balanced when guests have the actual facts, but those leftward Fox guests like Colmes and Ellis Hannigan are ignorant, lying blowhards who just talk loud and fast with lots of spittle. Even O’Reilly can be an ignorant blowhard, but at least I don’t think he lies. I only watch to catch Jesse Watter’s World and Dennis Miller anyway.

Old saying – ‘If you are conservative at 20, you have no heart; if you are a liberal at 40, you have no brain.’ Guess this is a no-brainer.

    1. It’s the WWF going for publicity, and dang it, Blaze, you just gave it to them.
    2. If I were Glenn, I’d just casually mention that the Shiek should be careful, because you never know who might ‘pack heat’.

Hans Hunt for president. Then he can bring some Wyoming common sense to liberal places like where Rev. Fulbright came from.

Some idiot potty-brain has confused a ‘CJ’ with a ‘BJ’….
