N.C. High School Student Arrested for Accidentally Leaving Gun in His Truck Gets Huge (Awesome) Surprise
May 3, 2013 at 12:36pm
By his own admission young Mr. Withrow forgot the shotgun was in his truck after skeet shooting the day before. Any reasonably responsible gun owner knows where his weapon is at all times, so the honest mistake arguement does not apply. A key element to gun safety is proper, safe storage which is most certainly not overnight in a vehicle. Curiously his senior class project was gun safety.
Student Punished, Charged With a Felony After He ‘Tried to Do the Right Thing’ When He Forgot His Shotgun Was in His Truck
May 2, 2013 at 3:02pm
Curiously young Mr. Withrow’s senior class project was gun safety yet he failed to adhere to one of its key elements; to properly and safely store the weapon.
According to the article he had been skeet shooting over the week end and forgot the shotgun was in the back of his truck. That would suggest that the shotgun was left in the back of his truck at least over night. Such a cavalier attitude is poorly placed regarding a potently dangerous weapon and indicates a lapse in judgement at a minimum.

On Easter, Google Honors Cesar Chavez

I don’t know but I’d bet the Nazarene would be fine with sharing the day with Cesar Chavez. Most likely he would let the birthday boy have the first plate at the buffet too. I’m certain they have much in common.

High School Goalie Quits Team in Most Dramatic Way: Scores on His Own Team, Flips Off Coaches, Then Leaves
February 15, 2013 at 11:26am
“Young Mr. Krause was splitting the net minding duties with a sophomore. Their playing time was similar, the sophomore’s stats were a shade better. He also put the puck in the net scoring a goal for the opposing team, his team lost by one goal. This offers no consolation for his poor choice of quitting during the team’s last home game of the season.
A quick scroll through some of the comments reveal a number in support of this action……had balls…conviction of beliefs…had the support of his team mates. All weak to be sure. Those who stand with this kind of behavior would do well to rethink their position.
He could have left the team any day leading up to this game and the result would have been the same. This gesture was not about quitting but rather a self gratifying boost to his ego..
Getting approval from his friends and they gave him a thumbs up??? No kidding, high school kids know best. Whose to know how long he will be associated with those boys. He would have been better served to seek the counsel of someone in his family. They will always be family after all. Someone may have convinced him a better show of integrity would be to finish what few games were left in the season. While he brought shame to his family it measures little in the humiliation he will carry for all days to come.
Participating in sports with its structure and discipline helps to build character through team work. On game day is when that character is revealed.
Racist? Kentucky Man Under Fire for Effigy of Obama Eating Watermelon

Lays claim of 1,000,000 photos taken since November? That’s some serious foot traffic….731 per hour round the clock.
What a whooper!!! Then again men are prone to exaggerate from time to time. Asserting that 4 inches is 8 and 5 minutes is all night long stand as decent examples.

As is typically the case a small percentage of ill behaved fans overshadow the majority of those celebrating without being destructive.
Where’s the coverage? Everywhere. All you have to do is look. I found these articles in just a couple of minutes worth of research.
