My 8 yr. old granddaughter is reading “Snow Treasure” about the children in Norway who helped to save their gold from the Nazis. Not all Norwegians were pushovers then, nor are they now. The religion of peace, however, and the PC police have all but destroyed the cultural identities of many European countries.
While Europe Slept is a very good book on the subject along with all the writings of author Bruce Bawer.

So true. There would be a lot more sequoia trees in the Mariposa Grove @ Yosemite if it weren’t for the “well-intentioned” effort of people suppressing natural fires.

I remember the first time I held up my camera to take a picture there, lowered it for a moment and thought that no picture I took would do justice to the awesome beauty that is Yosemite. To those who haven’t been there, may you someday have the chance to visit.
Thanks, Blaze, for the Sunday uplift. Think I’ll go look at my Yosemite scrapbook.

So far as I’ve seen and heard, none of the local reports has mentioned the race of the perps. The Daily Mail said the polar bear thing referred to an unsuspecting victim…uh huh and what color are those bears? I can’t wait to read the story in the Dayton Daily Demoncrat.
The Dayton Daily Democrat Newsletter does say the race, but the story captions says "religious book", you know don't want to use that dirty word "B-I-B-L-E".

And another thing…to “nothing infuriates me more” This issue incites fury in you? Fury? Wow you really could use some anger management.

Having read all comments, I believe I’m on the same page as most. Been there, used a cover-up and so did my kids when their time came. The most recent attention seeker in my neck of the woods was a girl who said she should have the right to nurse her baby in class at the local community college. My immediate thought was my 20 yr old nephew possibly sitting next to this activity as he is trying to concentrate on a lecture. When I talked to my obama-voting sister about it, her first thought wasn’t about her son. She blathered about natural and rights and blah blah…I’m still working on her.

I laughed and laughed at the headline…not honoring Obama? Does he live there? No, his home is a city more steeped in crime than Detroit, just not as decrepit. Honor him? Yeah, as soon as he shows some…

I must have been targeted for reeducation after following the Gosnell trial, because I got a newsletter from PP. They have gone from “safe, legal and rare” to just “safe and legal.” No wonder Richards is tongue tied. Their mission statement has changed.

Check out Ben Swann and his Liberty Is Rising project. He is an award winning journalist and is trying to build a network based on truth. As Glenn says, we need more voices.

@RNM, we are not Omamabots or LIVs. We actually educate ourselves on the issues, think for ourselves, have discussions with people of different viewpoints, and come to our own conclusions. And I never drink kool-aid (I hear the hopey-changey flavor is pretty nasty.)

I was looking at the pic of her, thinking she’s a bit of a cow and living high on the hog. The next line in the story is about her “meatier” statements which are all bull.
Wonder how she justifies her horrific statements about the Manson maniacs and what they did to Sharon Tate. I’m sure she values life as much today as she did then and equally as much as That Guy.

I’m just your typical camera owner and had a basic 35mm when I went to Yosemite. I think it was at the overlook where you can see El Capitan and Bridalveil in one view. I held up my camera then lowered it, thinking no pic I could take would capture how truly awesome that place is. And I was out of film:(
Thanks, Nolan, for sharing your passion w/the world and thanks Blaze for posting it.

That guy has a lot of class…all of it low.

Color me skeptical, too, along with cynical. Dr. Carson is spot on about the need for an educated electorate. If he is sincere, he should team up with like-minded people in a major community outreach campaign. Talk about a White House run is premature to say the least.

When my son was in elementary school, the newsletter posted a racial breakdown: 77% black, 23% other. I shared that as an anecdote many times as in OMG MY SON IS AN OTHER!
That is what I mark on census forms for race…other…and fill in human. I’m sick to death of the politics of division.

I missed it in his litany of victims of gun violence, so can someone tell me if he mentioned the deranged liberal lunatic who has currently wreaked havoc in SoCal?

There was a blizzard in my neck of the woods many years ago. After the snow stopped falling and the wind quit blowing, the men got their shovels and cleared our street. The gubmint plow showed up about 5 days later. Glad we didn’t wait for them, might have turned into the Donner party by then;)
Once when I lived in Maryland, They said it was going to snow, so I was sure we would not be having school the next day. so I stayed up late, 11:00 pm nothing, 12:00 am still nothing, My dad said I had better get some sleep because we were going to school and I said no they said it would snow, 1:00 am it started, snow flakes the size of golf balls. By 7:00 am in the morning there was 21/2 to 3 feet of snow, That was wonderful. we missed a whole week of school, and I could not find my papers for the day for the route that I delivered till the plows uncovered it a week later. 3 feet, that was the biggest snow I had ever seen. We survived quite well.

And now they (USDA) are asking you, on your little piece of America, what exactly are you doing with it. This commercial certainly played to us boomers. We had best be up to the task of passing on our freedom. Chrysler is certainly disingenuous re: bailout but definitely struck a chord.
I looked out my window yesterday to see 4 Dodge trucks in my yard, of varying years and sizes. Love me some Dodge boys.

I have never watched that show and feel diminished for watching that clip. At least I now know to continue ignoring everything that references American Idol. President Idol is in my face every day anyway…forward.
