No, that only applies to the Voting Booth

True……they can refuse and go through the booking process at the local jail .
June 30, 2014 at 8:42am
WRONG……………before you put your foot in your mouth maybe you should learn when you are required to produce ID and when you are not. Then maybe we can have a half way intelligent discussion.

WHEN….. when an Office stops and detains you for a lawful purpose, thats when.
June 30, 2014 at 8:38am
Because if they did nothing wrong. Can you point out anything ?

What is stupid is a person who while being lawfully stopped for a minor offense where I bet she would have recieved a warning had she just cooperated but she thought she was too important or knew the law better and let her mouth write a check she couldn’t cash.

Ok for the sake of argument. She doesn’t have to produce ID but if she fails to do so she would have to be physically arrested in lieu of just getting a citation to ensure her court appearance . The Officer told her that before she first refused and then resisted arrest .

LOL…..of course she does. WHAT does driving have to do with this ?

This video is GREAT EVIDENCE and it totally supports the Officer . She is an expert in communication ?

This Video shows nothing and alone with the headline is only to enflame or draw readers.
@ DANNYBOY1313 : Thanks - you are correct. In addition, Zimmerman should continue to have his Concealed Carry Permit although a special Gold Permit should be issued to this fine American who Courageously went through HELL !

I’m a retired Police Officer and I am at a loss at why anyone would attack you for posting this video. This “cop” was wrong from the get go and it only got worse. I hope you and others will give a Police Officer the chance to show you he is a professional before the disrespect starts. I can assure you that most of us want to do the job correctly and live up to the oath we all took to uphold one of the greatest pieces of paper ever, the USA Constitution.

I can only speak for Florida, but they have to advertise the DUI checkpoint date and location prior to setting one up.

As a retiree who was a Police Officer I am disgusted by this person behind that badge. He has too big an ego to be doing this job if this behavior is normal for him. He was offended , even though a professional Police Officer wouldn’t be and he decided to teach this guy a lesson. To be honest seeing and hearing him I was surprised that the video had not been erased or somehow accidentally damaged.
I agree, as a former counter-intelligence officer, special agent and intelligence analyst. Power corrupts - absolute power corrupts absolutely. And it is largely our fault for expecting an ever-growing government to do everything for us that we used to take care of ourselves at the state, local or individual level. Read the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, as well as the histories of Germany, Russia, Cambodia, VietNam, China (the list goes on and on). Those who fail to learn the lessons of the past are doomed to repeat them, only to a greater degree each time.
They probably recovered the data.
So why exactly didn't the other officers on the scene pull the one officer aside and calm him down. to prevent him from doing the wrong thing which he did. No officer there seemed to want to be professional.
So Dannyboy1313, you said "As a retiree who was a Police Officer." So I'm guessing that either you were fired or just couldn't hack it.
