  Although I believe Bloomberg is an idiot, these ads do not violate the three NRA safety rules. In one video his finger is clearly wrapped around the front of the trigger guard, thus unless he has superhuman fingers is not touching the trigger. In the other, his fingers is behind the trigger guard. In niether case is he fingering the trigger.

  From what can be seen in the video, the weapon is pointed in a safe direction. It may not be a two-handed low ready but you are grasping at nothing.

  Regarding the loaded/unsafe status of the weapon, this is purely speculation and there is no reason to have the action to the rear as suggested by the Washington Times writer.

  The Blaze is grasping for anything to get readers which does nothing to further protect us from gun grabbing politicians. Mr. Howerton should have vetted this story and the mindless readers nead to not blindly trust everything they read.

  If assault weapon bans were effective, then these children would still be alive. Conneticut does not allow ownership of “assault weapons” unless it was grandfathered in before the fedearal assault weapons ban in the early 90s. There are already laws in place. The shooter posessed handguns under the age of 21, Illegal. He stole the rifle, Illegal. These laws do not prevent psycopaths from doing horrible things. They only prevent law abiding people from defending themselves from the psychopath.

  While representing only 13% of the US population, blacks commit 52% of all murders in this country. This according to the 2011 FBI Uniform Crime Report. So please, in order to stop the senseless loss of life in this country, profile away.
