  I’m afraid we don’t have the 20 plus years to do it. I think the ONLY way to fix it is for the People to go to Washington in mass with the support of the Military and physically round up every member of the three branches AND everyone who works for their offices and administrations. They will be stripped of all voting rights, they cannot hold public office at any level again EVER, they cannot work for a Government Department (State and/or Federal), NO pensions for any office holder from now on. Repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments. Supreme Court Justices are appointed for 10 year terms and can be reappointed only once by Senate and House confirmation. And finally term limits on House member at 3, Senate at 1, President at 1. The job title of Career Politician should go the way of Telegraph Operator and Milk Man..

  Chrome, the Revolution can’t come soon enough for me. I’ve been saying it’s coming for several years now. I’m totally convinced that a total do-over is the only answer. During this process, a lot of our societal problems will be taken care of too. The criminals are only using this to push the issue and try to capitalize on the outrage over the school shooting in CT. They know that if the government bans guns, it’s only going to take guns out of the hands of people like you, me, and the other millions of law abiding gun owners.

  Not as much dope as it has been the “dumbing down” of America. Making products (cars included) so easy to operate that people forget how to really OPERATE them. Especially when something simple goes wrong.

  Turning off the ignition does NOT lock your steering if you only turn it back one notch. DON’T turn it all the way off as if to take the keys out. Automatic transmissions are NOT made to lock you out of going to Neutral when moving. Most, if not all automatics made now only prevent you from going PAST neutral into reverse. Bottom line is this. You have got to be a little smarter than the piece of equipment you’re operating. Looks like they’re going to have to start teaching mechanics in Drivers Ed class..

  I bet it’s not finished inside. They’ve gotten the structure and facade on the building but the finish work and building systems (electrical, HVAC, etc) probably will take another month or two to install and complete. However, even at that, this is probably going to be yet another one of those EMPTY buildings that China has built along with all of those EMPTY cities they’ve been building. I bet that 10 years from now, the building will still be empty, unfinished, and ready for demolition.

  Umm… The Iranians don’t have but maybe ONE flyable F-14 that was left out of the handful that were delivered just before the fall of the Shah in the late 70′s. They haven’t been able to get parts for the things for over 30 years. F-14s are maintenance nightmares. This was one of the reasons they were replaced. I’m sorry but the Iranian Air Force is no match for any fully up to date western Air Force much less a full US Navy carrier complement. They might get a lucky shot off and down a handful of unlucky Hornets but just like the Iraqi Air Force did when the big boys showed up shooting, they’ll scatter and run.
