Good question, but what is certainly not going on is the republicans who now control both the house and senate actually developing, proposing and passing a real immigration bill. Instead they continue to waste time and money on superficial and symbolic "stomp their feet like children" actions that could only appeal to very low information voters.
TERM LIMITS.............FLAT TAX............if we survive 2 more years as a nation
This wasn't a vote of the Senate.....this was a decision by McConnell and staff to sever the two bills. This abdication from a position of strength was, somehow, supposed to garner Democrat support for the Republican immigration plan.
I am beginning to believe that the GOP prefers to be the minority party in the Legislator, because they really don't understand how to wield power. The polls were on their side...even the Media was coming around. Then they cave.
I agree with others here. I'm done, until the Tea Party becomes an entity unto itself.
Well it has not happened just yet, so we will see where they stand. It looks like this all goes down Friday. This was the only coverage on the story i could find: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2015/02/24/homeland-security-funding-immigration-executive-orders/23944801/
Pete Kasperowicz covered it better here IMO.
