  • I appreciate this thoughtful and thorough review. (And Mytheos Holt is easily the best author at TheBlaze. Fantastic work!) But let’s be honest. Low information voters—which are likely to be the overwhelming audience for this game—won’t be so thorough in their consideration and understanding. They’re probably going to equate “The Founders” in the game with the caricature of conservatives painted by Hollywood and the mainstream media. And “The Founders” must be defeated, right?

  • How is “volunteer firefighter” relevant to this story, and why is it highlighted in the title and body of the story? If I didn’t know better, I’d say you we’re sensationalizing—which isn’t necessary, especially in a case like this.

  • That’s interesting, I guess, but it appears that someone is trying to be too smart by half. Genesis starts out with life, true, but isn’t that where you’d expect creation to start? And God predicted that death would follow if Adam and Eve disobeyed. They did, and it did. The genealogies early in Genesis are full of “death” to prove God’s point that death follows sin. As far as Genesis wrapping up with life (the other half of the so-called “sandwich”), it doesn’t. Genesis ends with the death of Jacob (Israel) and the death of his son Joseph.

  • A correction is needed. Rush hasn’t sided with the gang of eight. Listen to his show from today.

  • I love TheBlaze. It’s one of my primary news sources. But it’s getting to where I pretty much have to skip through the articles authored by Mr. Hallowell. There’s way too much political correctness and moral equivalence peeking through. An example in this article: How can something be “purported” if there’s video evidence? The word appears twice in this brief article. Leave out that word, and the article makes much more sense. Otherwise, it’s like scraping nails on a chalkboard.

  • Love these! Are these “American Voices” videos being collected somewhere in one location? If not, this would be my recommendation: http://www.video.theblaze.com/media/video.jsp

  • Is Mitt Romney the Next Gipper?

    August 31, 2012 at 12:44pm

Wow, seriously? Romney comparisons to Reagan are beyond absurd. I understand that Republicans are desperate to oust Obama (I’m one of them), but this is embarrassing and, quite frankly, insulting.

  • After their success of overturning elections for two Republican senators this summer, the Democrats are going to be emboldened to use the recall process as a weapon continually. Whereas it used to be rare, it will now become commonplace.

It’s true that Republicans tried to fire back and forced a recall election on three Democrat senators, all of which failed. However, why are Republicans not hopping mad and trying to recall all 14 of those lawless senators that fled the state and refused to do their job. This only emboldens the vile Democrats further. They know they can wield the weapon of recall against Republicans without much push back.

Republicans, by and large, have two glaring deficiencies: 1) they don’t educate the public on their policies and the effects of those policies, and 2) they typically don’t fight back. Frankly, I’m sick of it. Can we get some Republican leaders with conservative principles who will constantly educate the American people about those principles and then fight for those principles?

  • That’s a shame. I like Kurt Warner, but he’s just flat out wrong.

  • I posted this story on twitter, and an Occupy thug responded that he will be “posting his [the Marine's] address and bio, family info for possible recourse”: http://twitter.com/#!/JazJustice/status/136139237308366849

I’m praying for blessings and protection for Mr. Hiltunen and his family.
