I don’t care if you spell your with a z as long as your making a logical point. I commonly confuse their, there, and they’re yet I work every day as a web application developer in a production environment and have a degree in computer science. Some people are good at some things, and some at other things, while some people are only good at critiquing others.

I am one of those religion-less people mentioned above although I am not an aetheist. I don’t renounce religion or think its wrong. I just dont care. I generally get my news from the Blaze and Limbaugh or Hannity. Local news local stations. I don’t watch any of the national news on any channel other than the Blaze. If a purely libertarian major news network were available, I would watch that.

Want to throw my two cents in here. As a person of no religion. I am finding myself more and more pissed off that people are being discriminated against because of their religions beliefs. I also think homeschooling should become more common.
"I also think homeschooling should become more common."
Have you checked into this "Common Core" initiative?
If you have great, but if not, please investigate UNESCO and how the International grab for education will steal waway parental rights to educate.
It is very intersting... and it's not a theory of conspiracy.
And.... Both Dems and Reps are against it.
Happy Thanksgiving to ALL
you are so right, that is one of the first freedoms people reveled in when they left England. freedom from state dictates on faith.
I am of similar religious belief. we all need to find our own path and protect the right to do so. If we are not allowed to instruct our own children then all is lost
Thank you David good post. Yes especially Christians are targeted. As a Christian I don't need anyone to agree with my beliefs however I would like to not be targeted because of them.

I would say to this being non-religious that Good and Evil are powers whether they are forces of nature of forces of a higher power. I don’t believe they are points of view. I would also say that you get your moral compass from inside of you. If you want to look to a religious work or only a certain part of a religious work to help you with that then that is really none of anyone’s business other than your own.
" I would also say that you get your moral compass from inside of you"
So basically, it's your opinion then?
" I would also say that you get your moral compass from inside of you."
I respect your honesty about religious inspiration. However, I would like to enlighten you a little bit: If I went on a killing spree and eventually arrested and I was asked why I did, and I said, "My moral compass from within me said to do it", why should that be wrong?
"If I went on a killing spree and eventually arrested and I was asked why I did, and I said, “My moral compass from within me said to do it”, why should that be wrong?"
Exactly, trying to define morals, while saying there is no one bigger or more powerful than man is trying to define opinion. No matter what man it is, they are capable and prone to error. No man can say something is RIGHT or WRONG because he says so. That is simply his opinion. If you believe there is no God, then you must believe there are no absolute morals. You must believe in moral relativity, and at that point, anything really goes.
You might say killing people is wrong, I say it's right. You have the majority on your side right now, but that doesn't mean you're morally right, it just means your idea is more popular for now. Relative morality, is essentially no morality. If morals are not absolute, then they are pointless.
Only the question isn't so pure. Something has always been, it never goes away. Something will always be.
If you can so quickly make the leap to god is infinite you should at least do the same for matter.

If you believe anything on TV nowadays from the news to Shark Week MegalaDong to reptilian aliens are raiding your refrigerator at night you may be an idiot.

Give me three months and Absolute Power and I would turn Detroit into the most profitable city north of Texas with the lowest cost of living and lowest crime rate. As well as the highest levels of Freedom.

As a person of no religion I have no problem with religious symbols that don’t impede things I am doing during the day. I have noticed that “Aetheists” have invented their own religion of late and I am sure the person that complained about this was one of these “Aetheists”.
