  One of the two I have personally seen over 18′ was at a taxidermist and just hauled in the day before from the Colorado River, so yes – it was “caught”.

  I got news for all – this is NOT the biggest gator in Texas. I have personally seen two over 18′. It may be the largest ever called into Texas Parks & Wildlife…. and it is big – but there are larger gators here.
