I, too, am in West Texas and Battles is right, we don’t have very many bites. But I think it would be a great idea to have one of those kits, just in case, especially because I live out in the country were we do see some snakes during the summer months.

A little bit of real investigation by CPS would have avoided all of this. All they would have to have done was contact the other doctor at the other hospital where they would have learned that he examined the child and that there was no immediate danger to the child. But nooooo, they had to rush in like the gestapo or the KGB and kidnap the child!! The whole thing was an abomination on behalf of the CPS.

When I rode the bus back in the 70s, our bus driver who was also my history/social studies/geography teacher (very small school) had a HUGE paddle under his seat! And he would use it if we got out of control. Needless to say, we didn’t get out of control very much at all!!! The lack of the ability to discipline is killing this country, too!

That is the difference between Conservatives in Texas and Liberals in Californication. Conservatives really do care for their fellow man. Liberals just like to sound good talking about caring for their fellow man but there is no action behind their words.

Your question should have been: The FEDS failed to enforce regulations!! Before you blow stuff out of your arse, you need to find out just what regulations PERRY did not enforce??? There are so many FEDERAL regulations, Texas doesn’t need to create more!!! If anyone is at fault here, it is the FEDs. But your idiotic post does absolutely no good for the families of the fallen in that disasterous accident. Yes, ACCIDENT! Accidents do happen. Thank God it was not a diliberate act of terrorism. But I guess the governor of Mass. was at fault in the bombing, too, huh? Even tho it is the JOB of the FEDS to keep the terrorists out???
Was Watertown’s Door-to-Door Search for Bombing Suspects a Violation of the Fourth Amendment?
April 23, 2013 at 10:20am
I really have mixed feelings about this. I believe the police went overboard in “forcing” a volunary search. I believe that whoever said no to the search should have been left alone until and if the police got a search warrant. But, what if the police didn’t force the search and the bomber was in someone’s home, holding them at gunpoint, telling them to say no to the search? What if he holed up in someone’s home for days, weeks even? What if he ended up killing his hostages? The police searched homes and out buildings and still the bomber was holed up in a boat. But what if he was inside those people’s home? Again, I really have mixed feelings. The Constitution would most likely prevail if it was happening to me. But I can see the police needing to conduct extensive searches for that maniac in order to keep him from killing someone else. What would be the outrage if they had not conducted the searches and someone else was killed? I can hear it now, “the police were inept, the police did not do their job, etc.” Conundrum conundrum!
