I have crack heads in my hood....They know I am 911.....The police arrest them on a regular basis.....Somehow they are back out a week later.....I am 911.

I heard Kerry personally poured over 3 liters of bleach into the sand just to get things started.

I am a one man militia. Although I am old, long ago the military taught me how to find cover and concealment and what the difference is between them. I was required to clean my weapons. I learned to live in the heat and rain and how to find food and water. My combat load is always ready to go. Please do not f k with me.

In the future – if you look sideways at them – the bloombergs of the country will take your guns away. Keep some safe. Buy more ammo.

If I use $500/month in power and you use $200 – good for you. Leave me the hell alone.
When you disagree with THEIR Premise, they will find a "Regulation" against you...when you stand up and against them, they will, "Demonize and Denigrate, that's how Progressives Seal Your Fate"...
The power company sends out a sort of "report card" on my energy use -- as if my house (with a basement apartment) is going to be comparable to other houses in the neighborhood. If I got a "per capita" comparison, then I would look more energy efficient.
Please stop using your private jet and spread the wealth. (Sarc)
I'm actually okay with this one. Believe it or not the biggest users are demoncraps & I would love that info to get out. When gore hops his Eco-unfriendly jet to tell you that you are the problem with your little home electric instead of his five mega-homes & private jet only an idiot would say yes sir.
If Chicago wanted to do something constructive, they could try arresting a few murderers, printing their pictures in the paper, and sending them to the proverbial gallows. Now, THAT'S the kind of "public shaming" that might actually have an impact, rather than trying to embarrass someone for leaving the lights on, or setting the AC too low. Guess they have to have some priorities huh?
@Daddy and then they come for you....and no one is left to defend you. Slippery slope.
I have a solution: Businesses should move out of these Anti-American Cities and when there is no revenue then the Politicians can sit back, in there dark city, and wonder why the City has gone Bankrupt.
(I hear ya)......But Fear not....It's only more and more and more and more...Stop.... better drink my water.....modern day Progressive insanity.....
Detroit now Chicago...
Get use to this crap. Every spring and all summer long I get hounded by my utility company to install a "smart" thermostat in my home so they can regulate my air conditioner. I know people that have gone along with this plan and cursed it ever since. My heat and AC are brand new and the installer told me not to let the utility company attach anything to my unit because it will cause electronic problem with the unit. I would wind up getting constant error messages causing the unit to shut off until I place a service call.
It's just a matter of time until some jerkweed in Trenton gets it in his head to make them mandatory. So instead of the utility companies upgrading their service to handle the growing demand for power they'll make the public give up their comfort that they work and pay for. Here's an idea, spend some of the billions you make a year and do some capital improvement to keep up with the demand of electronic devices, and big TVs people now have. In fact, I'll bet that the new appliances, TVs and heat and air units are so efficient that they draw less power than their predecessors. This whole thing is a ruse and a money grab.
Likely, if you're using more energy, you're being more productive. Nobody runs 12 old refrigerators in their house for the fun of it.
California, where I fled but sadly still own a house if anyone is interested, charges you electric rates RELATIVE to your neighbors. If your consumption is above the mean for your area, you get charged a higher rate than your neighbors. That is in Palm Springs which is a tourist town. Last I checked, more than 1/3 of all the homes are ONLY occupied seasonally. That means they have VERY low consumption the rest of the year, so everyone is charged high rates. They CLAIM they exclude homes with zero consumption, but, nobody has zero consumption! You have sprinkler timers, security systems, landscape lighting, and even security lights that are all automated to make the home look lived in for security reasons. Me, I leave my AC set to keep the house from going above 90 degrees, as homes deteriorate more quickly (bake) in high heat. Bear in mind, the temp reaches 110s-120s there DAILY throughout the summer. Just like a closed car, indoors gets even hotter with no AC. And HVAC systems don't fall for that "but it's dry heat" nonsense.
That huge sucking sound is high energy consumption industries fleeing Chicago & sounds like the fleets of folks like me moving from CA to TX!
NOTE: Obama's war on coal is destroying KY jobs too! Manufacturing came to KY for cheap electricity which is only possible due to KY coal.
Deltaecho, Good for you! If you didn't use $500 a month in power, I couldn't get mine for $200. Rather it would cost me $300 or maybe $400! I'm an engineer, and I have BIG issues with the power industry's 'discovery' of 'DR' (Demand Response), which enables your local power utility to shed your load when there isn't enough power to go around! (e.g., your neighbor buys a PIE (plug-in electric vehicle) and your milk spoils because the power company cuts your refrigerator so your neighbor can charge his PIG--I mean PIE! Our regulators, the utilities, our politicians, our press and most of all our friends of the Progressive Persuasion on the other side of the aisle, simply DO NOT UNDERSTAND market economics! This is a sad, and a dangerous state of affairs! And, we must do all we can to remedy this situation! Imagine if your grocery store announced (AFTER you drove there to shop) that if your name falls in the first half of the alphabet, you cannot buy milk today--come back tomorrow! Or if your water company posted on THEIR website a water curtailment for your neighborhood AFTER you got all soaped up in the shower! (Who the hell checks the water company website to see if they tripped the 'RATION SWITCH' for the afternoon!) The STUPID power company has 'Smart Cool', which cuts off your A/C compressor, but not the circulator fan, with passive notice (you have to check THEIR website)! If they are smart enough to figure out how to notify your A/C of the power
When the "no smoking" sign comes up, That is when I light up!
Chicago can't pay their pensions, can't hire cops, closing schools so they look for a way to chase big business out of Chicago.
public shaming??..In Chit-cago???...lol..crime stats..the real ones, try that comrades....
IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT USE IT
I enjoy wasting energy. I can afford it and I like the idea. On Earth Day I deliberately burn some paper and allow a pint of gasoline to evaporate in my back yard. Who do these people think they are telling people what to do. Years ago these same people would criticize people for having children. I love the idea of wasting energy to drive up the price so the poor cannot afford it. Its one way to get back at the poor.
In reality the HOV lane performs the same "I am so much better than you" garbage that this does.Everyone driving a car where you purchase gas or tires is paying for that "special people HOV" lane. Do I use the HOV lane, yes, whenever I both qualify to be in the lane and if it works to my advantage. But do I think I'm better than any of my fellow commuters or drivers because I have two or more people driving in the car. Freekin' NO!. Some jerkfaced progressives wrote this law so that they could publicly show everyone just how much better people like them were than the rest of us. "Car-poolers" and those driving their "eco-friendly" cars were targeted to be held up in higher esteem that you scum-buckets who didn't happen to be going to someplace with somebody else. While a pile of junk. Do you want to alleviate a lot of traffic issues? DUMP the HOV lane and let's all be Americans.
This reminds me of the Communist countries where if you are a party member you get a nicer place to live and a better job. Yes the apartment and car still really sucked big time, but it was a little nicer piece of junk than your non- party members.
So what does this "service" really tell you about the facility? Absolutely nothing useful. We need to find a way to shame those who are advocating publishing the data. Attack them, isolate them, ridicule them, make them the pariah of society.
Are they going to require them to wear a big Scarlett E on their clothes?
Anyone who has MS, as I do, can worsen significantly if they get overheated. This is so well documented that the cost of having AC installed can be written-off on your taxes as a medical expense if you have MS (and didn't already have AC). I keep my home cool in Winter and Summer because of this. The electric company wants to install smart-meters in my area, which would allow them to control the use of my AC, thus controlling the temperature in my home.
If they shut off my AC on a sultry hot day - which is when they are most likely to do it, of course - I could actually need hospitalization as a result. I'm told I'm not allowed to opt-out. I wonder if they will pay my hospital bills?
Interesting coming from an elitist like rohm. Outside my apartment in Chicago we have these huge stainlesss steel sculptures lining Congress Parkway, Cost us $34M. They are lit up with a 24/7 display of ever changing LED lights. Why they burn during daylight hours is beyond me since you can barely see the colors. Why we needed them it all is even further beyond me. Stop gov't waste and then talk to me about my usage. When peeelosi quits fyling her friends and family home every week on our dime, then talk to me. When al gore stops using more electricity a month than I have in five years, talk to me. We save water and electricity however we can because of the outrageous costs in Illinois already, I don't need the nanny telling me what to do.

John, ol’ buddy, go ahead and strap on that chute/seat harness, pull on your flight helmet, and fly into Syria. Bomb and strafe all you want. The Syrian POW camps are really excellent this time of year – you’ll get plenty of pre-inseminated goat uterus and camel toe.
