  Yeah. poor Mika really let the cat out of the bag on this one. While she was trying to sound fair, she flat out admitted that if it had been a Republican they would have been going crazy. Sounds like at admission of bias there, M.B.

  So how can a network claim to be fair and truthful, yet flat out admit that they love to skewer Republicans.

  Actually, Keaton, you’ve got it a bit off base there. The way bills get passed is not by the parties dropping their core ethics and playing along in order to get along (especially when it’s always the Reid’s and Pelosi’s saying that nothing happens because the Republicans won’t compromise when Dems never waiver from their lunacy). That’s precisely why we don’t live in a democracy but in a representative republic. What you’re describing (and Reid is hoping for) is a democracy, where 51% can tell the other 49% how it’s going to be.

  In a representative republic, we have to all want it to be law, or else it just doesn’t become law. What Ted Cruz is doing is PRECISELY what he should be doing. If it wasn’t, the rules of the Senate would never have been set up to allow him to do it. Cruz’ responsibility is to the constitution and to his constituents – the ones he was elected to represent. If they don’t agree with what Harry Reid is doing, or if he deems it not in line with the best interests of our country, it’s his DUTY to throw a monkey wrench into the works.

  Laws only become laws when they are so overwhelmingly in the majority that everyone can pretty much agree. Otherwise, it’s a case of “not the government’s business,” and we move along.
