Man Douses Sleeping Homeless Woman with Flammable Liquid Then Sets Her on Fire in L.A.
December 28, 2012 at 8:03am
At some point mental illness becomes an excuse to be evil. This man was evil to commit this act. The tendency to blame evil on some sort of tenuous illness, rather than evil excuses it in smaller quantity. We know that if we are sick we go to a doctor. We deal with the problem. But with evil, we simply label it as a mental illness and let them go on by the wayside. We are to a point as a culture that whomever commits an evil act is simply “mentally ill”. Depression, insomnia, anxiety are mental illnesses, but none of them alone will cause a person to act like this. Evil is what causes a man to act like this. All the gun control, or mental health funding in the world will not stem the tide until we call this exactly what it is and face reality that we are looking at evil in our world.
Should Philly High Schools Be Installing Those Free Condom Dispensers? Take the Poll
December 26, 2012 at 12:40pm
Sure, let’s just keep on subsidizing the bad behavior. I mean it isn’t like these kids can’t come up with the money to buy a fifty dollar video game, but we can expect them to be responsible enough to use a condom to protect from disease transmission when they are irresponsible enough to have sex with multiple partners in high school. They could get a whole fishbowl filled with over 12 DOZEN CONDOMS for about $35 dollars, but that video game they are playing, the cell phones they are carrying to school, somehow they can afford that but they cannot spend a dollar or two on a condom or two…
It’s not like they don’t already have access to title X clinics funded by Health and Human Services under the Office of Population Affairs.. already dispensing free contraception. that is supposed to also be teaching thier clientele about how to prevent STD and choosing birth control with multiple factors in mind, not the least of which was supposed to be STD prevention, but sadly that seems to be an afterthought. Perhaps when we made “birth control” the priority over safety, we made a tiny mistake… One that is costing the health and welfare of our next generation. Condom machines are NOT the answer…
‘We Will Render You Obsolete’: Anonymous Attacks Westboro Baptist Over Plans to Picket Sandy Hook Funerals
December 18, 2012 at 6:29pm
“We are Legion”?? Come on, folks that was in the HOLY BIBLE.. It’s what the demon(s) called themselves before Jesus cast them out of the man and let them go into the pigs instead… Anonymous should have had a less anti-christian schtick if they want Christians to take them as a serious, non-evil entity… Like I said before, I don’t like either WBC or Anonymous… But if folks want to talk, they need to expect people to have differing points of view…
‘We Will Render You Obsolete’: Anonymous Attacks Westboro Baptist Over Plans to Picket Sandy Hook Funerals

I don’t like WBC… I don’t agree with them. That being said I think Anonymous is a bunch of losers too. Yeah, I know they can look up my address and phone playing hacker, But here is the thing, if you are going to say something, be willing to stand behind what you say. If the folks at WBC want to say all the horrible things they say, then they should be willing to stand behind it, even if that means someone comes to thier door totally ticked off and ready for a knock down drag out fight. Our nation was built on impassioned speech.. I might not like what people say, but I will defend thier right to free speech, but at the same time, I also will defend those who fight back when assaulted, Sometimes retaliation is a necessity, sadly.
Judge Could Order Fort Hood Shooter to Be ‘Forcibly Shaved’ Before Trial — But Should He? (Take Our Poll)
August 23, 2012 at 9:10pm
He was Muslim when he joined the military, and yet he agreed to lose the beard. He was shaved in his first mugshot. Were he not active military personel at the time of his offense, I would say no, but since he was, and since it was not so important before he killed 13 people to be unshaven, it isn’t so important now. Not only should he be forcibly shaven, but they need to show that to the remaining “enemy combatants” and let them know that should the need arise (lice infestations, fungal infectiions of the scalp or any contagious conditionion of the skin or scalp that could be easier to treat or contain if shaved will be shaved…Actually that should probably go for anyone in the prison system period, if it is a sanitaion issue, which it isn’t here…It’s a military issue and it is and should be military rules, PERIOD.
Viral Chick-fil-A Picture Claims Christians Don’t Feed the Poor — But We Have Proof to the Contrary
August 3, 2012 at 10:09am
Having been poor and currently working full time but still with a limited budget it is a MYTH that one cannot eat healthy on what is given to them. Beans remain one of the cheapest sources of healthy protein available, chicken is available for about 6 dollars for a 10 lb bag of leg quarters. If not stuck in a rented apartment gardening can be an option and there are community gardens in MANY areas these days. People have planted fruit trees in parks and recreation areas and there are olive groves on public land in California where people go and pick them up to process at home as a TRADITION. Soda is zero nutrition and high calorie and available on food assistance. The problem isn’t a lack of funds but a short supply of knowledge and actual gumption to fix the problem. Grandma raised 15 kids, and the only day they got desserts that wasn’t canned fruit was Sunday…her children were NEVER obese and she did it without government assistance and they were NOT rich. They simply had the knowledge and learned how to take care of themselves. Mom learned how to co-plant sweet corn and beans from HER MOTHER.
College Lecturer Berates Local Chick-fil-A Employee at the Drive-Thru: ‘Horrible Corporation’
August 3, 2012 at 9:59am
The girl was young, the guy a bit older. She was excruciatinly polite and nice. The guy should have been ashamed of his bullying a young girl and asking her how she lived with herself.
Not withstanding the girl could have remained polite and still handled it differently. How? She could have looked at him and said “I am sorry you are unhappy with our company. Our store phone number is on the receipt, and corporate contact information is available online or you are more than welcome to come inside and speak with a manager. Here is your water, have a nice day and close the window.
Decrepit: Four Years After Hosting the Beijing Olympics, This Is What China’s $40B Investment Looks Like
July 13, 2012 at 12:29pm
This is what happens when infrastructure is built not for the benefit of the people, but for the glory of the few. I would have been so much more impressed were it a facility that could be used for something AFTER the Olympics were over. It’s the same with that high speed rail that would have been put in if Obama and the leftwinger greenies who don’t like cars had gotten thier way. It would have deteriorated rapidly. Brings to mind the Cabrini-Green projects in Chicago….Oh wait, no one remembers those? That was those government projects that got so bad the upper walkways had to be fenced off so no one got pushed off to the ground below…Did they even manage to get 50 years for the money put in? Government should deal with GENERAL WELFARE not what can they do for me or any other singular person or family unit… Government should never be there for the glory or paychecks of the few.
‘Makes Very Little Sense’: Why Are Army Tanks Rolling Down Residential Roads for Training in St. Louis?
June 26, 2012 at 5:35pm
Do I trust my government? Our founding fathers wanted us to be wary of the government. They used to teach school children that the greatest threat to liberty was unquestioning complacency. Along that note why train in an urban setting like St Louis? Crowd control, Preparing for potential riots. Those heavily armored vehicles are designed for use in an urban setting… Am I going to stress over it? No. Do I put it past the government to use such weaponry against its own people? No. Our government fell in line with eugenics, that should be enough to tell us that they will use tech against people and portions of our population. We would be stupid to think otherwise.
‘He Got What He Deserved’: Texas Dad Beats His Daughter’s Molester to Death
June 11, 2012 at 5:46pm
I am pretty sure that God understands this father’s anger. Even if he is charged, in order to convict they would not only have to prove that he killed the guy, but that he was in control of his response at the time. Show me a loving father who is not enraged when someone hurts thier child. My sister and I never had to deal with molestation, but there was that instance where the school sent me home with welts. When I got home from school a few hours later my mother was LIVID.. Let me tell you though my mom was like a caged tiger on crack going after that school…I had to face the indignation of the lawyer having a picture of my bare bottom…Momma hit them where it hurt the most, reputation and pocketbook…Oh yeah and she even made them issue an APOLOGY!
Had someone done something like the deceased..Yep, pretty sure Momma would have went hunting, she would have made it as painful as possible… Did I mention Mom was born in WV and my dad was honorably discharged from the US Marine Corps the day that JFK was assassinated. I don’t think there are many people who would have been able to wait for the police. I don’t think I could have. Pretty sure my parents couldn’t have (Unless Dad was trying to keep mom out of the State Penitentiary)…Would seriously question his devotion if this father could have…
I THANK GOD DAILY that I had parents who took thier responsibilities to protect thier kids seriously!. There are not enough of those parents around.
