So Richard Dawkins who doesn’t believe God exists, and since God does not exist there is no such thing as morality, wants to tell people what is and isn’t immoral.

religion:a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

atheism : disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods.

Seems like these two definitions are compatible. Whether you believe there is a God who caused the universe or you believe there is no God that caused the universe you are stating a religious belief. Believing in gravity or not believing in gravity is not a religious belief where believing God exists or believing God does not exist is a religious belief.

Allowing people to put up a Christmas tree is not a government endorsement of one religion over another. It is just allowing people to express or celebrate their culture. Not allowing a Christmas tree is not being neutral, it is denying people their rights and freedoms. On the flip side we should all be tolerant of the Islamic symbol or wican symbol because that is also a symbol of other peoples beliefs. Although some symbols are offensive to most people, in America, those people have the rights and freedom to display those symbols and it is still not a government endorsement of those beliefs.

No, most of us were never atheists. Atheists deny the existence of God, something I never did. At one time I did not accept God as a part of my life but I did not deny a God existed. Unlike most atheists I was open minded in that I believed there could be a God and eventually I found enough evidence to convince me. As to atheist being good people, you don’t need to believe in God to be a good person relative to other people. But by God’s standards they are just as bad as the next person and need God to be forgiven of their sins and to be saved from eternal death.

Why do those who think religious people are unintelligent, uneducated idiots want to act exactly like those who they think are unintelligent, uneducated idiots? What, you aren’t smart enough to come up with behavior consistent with your own beliefs?

Really? It’s not there by accident? Someone put a pool there on purpose? Not accidently?

I think he had more than just a drill a carrot and a mouthpiece. Didn’t he also have a drill bit and a measuring stick? Why not just write the headline as he just had a carrot. If people don’t notice he has other things then it will be much more impressive to say he made a clarinet out of nothing but a carrot.

Does The Blaze even bother to proofread their stories anymore? It is getting annoying seeing all the errors in Blaze stories. The man was not on the ‘back of another cars windshield’. He was on the trunk and the rear window of another car. He did not smash through the windshield he smashed through the rear window. The reason it is not a windshield is because it is at the back of the car and so it does not shield anyone from wind. He was not on a truck, he was on a car.

Maybe instead of calling him closed minded people should show respect for him and take him up on his challenge. There are several possible outcomes.
    1) Turns out he is closed minded and nothing comes of this.
    2) Someone submits something he cannot disprove scientifically and wins $10K
    3) Someone submits evidence he has not seen before and changes his mind.
    4) He actually gives good scientific reasons why all submissions are wrong and many of the skeptics change their minds.

My biggest peeve is that everyone I met on the Man Made Global Warming side have no scientific evidence that they can actually pull out and refute any of my points so most conversations are dissatisfying as I provide all the evidence and their side does nothing of the sort.

I am going to start by reading the Professors book and will be trying to get $10K myself.

This would be front page news but rising orange juice prices overshadowed it.

I wonder why more conservatives don’t win more Oscars. Maybe it has to do with where they tell people to put their Oscars. I’m just saying.

Remember when we were told that ‘human-induced climate change’ would result in our children never seeing snow fall?

  • March 24, 2014 at 1:08pm

All weather is consistent with ‘human induced climate change’. The weather was also consistent with ‘non-human induced climate change’. The weather was also consistent with ‘no climate change’.

They should check for any Americans visiting Canada. A Canadian would know how to use a hockey stick.

    Which is better?

    1. I don’t want to sell food to a person and so I make them go somewhere else and someone else makes a profit from that person
    or
    2. I don’t want to sell food to a person but I sell them food anyways becuse the law forces me to but I spit in their food to make myself feel good and I make a profit doing it.
