Well if the TV decided to jump off the TV stand and smash itself on the ground it wouldn’t be Sony’s fault. If man was an inanimate object that could not make choices contrary to it’s makers purpose then your argument would make sense.

Hmm, well you should tell every atheist this because every one of them says it is impossible to prove God does not exist.
He wasn't trying to prove gods don't exist. Read the last line...
"... and you'll find a dead God at the bottom of a test tube every time."
... which would prove the existence.
He wasn't proving A negative...
They don't want to take that step of faith themselves, that's why.

So at the moment when you discover that you were completely wrong about the most important issue of your entire life, you will not be willing to admit that you could be the tiniest bit wrong about the nature of God, whom you do not even believe exists? Ever think that the people who believe God exists and have a relationship with that God could actually have a better understanding of God than you do?
I am sure he will be willing to give God a chance to answer for his sins against humanity and judge him fairly based on the responses he gets.
Why would I trust other people's beliefs? Am I not capable of thinking about this issue, doing research, and making up my own mind? Why should anyone elses beliefs be more credible to me than my own?

I can’t believe people are jumping all over Obama because of one misspoken word. He meant glass tents as people traveled in the wilderness in glass tents. I would bet most people make a mistake or two the first time they do any public speaking. Give him a break.

As a Canadian living in the US, here are a few of the reasons why Americans don’t like having Obama as Canada would.
1. Despite the propaganda to the contrary, Americans mostly like their healthcare and don’t want to end up with the crappy healthcare that Canada has. One which when my father caught cancer there was such a waiting list that he couldn’t get treatment for several months and was told not to worry, it is not life threatening up until a few weeks before he died, when he was told that it was too far advanced for any treatment to help.
2. Americans like being able to protect themselves and don’t want to end up unarmed like Canadians are where woman have to fear walking home at night as seen from the rash of murders in the Vancouver area about a year ago.
3. Unlike Canadians, Americans prefer freedom over being taken care of by the government.
These are just a small list of reasons US voters dislike Obama more than Canadians. In Canada Obama would be welcome because he would not be striving to change the way things are done except he would probably try to return tax rates of fifteen years ago in Canada when a person making 40k per year would pay the same amount of taxes as an American making $65K per year. But Canadians would be happy with this as long as they were just told that the government would take care of them more.

While I have never denied my sexuality, I haven’t publicly acknowledged it either, until now. So let me be clear, I’m proud to be straight, and I consider being straight among the greatest gifts God has given me.
The point of coming out is that homosexuality has been systemically oppressed and forced into the closet. Coming out is the one act that breaks the standard heater-normative society pressures on individuals and establishes space for discussion and questioning. You don't have to come out as straight because society isn't telling you to fight your innate attractions and be a hetero-sexual guy. If you are, you are and there's no problem. For us who aren't, we have to deal with a tremendous amount of pressure, fear and self-loathing in a society that tells us that we are less.

What are people going to pick up their dogs poop with?
Yeah totally--other than the MINOR detail that they've killed no one, whereas WHITE lynch mobs murdered thousands of blacks during he heyday of lynchings not ONLY often without the slightest legal repercussion, but ALSO often with the very SUPPORT of these "institutions of justice." But yeah, OTHER than that little detail, TOTALLY analogous.

This is getting to be the SOP for the Blaze. Write a hyped up headline for stories that are very underwhelming. At least they have managed to somehow fix the way the page was jumping around on the screen so that when you click on a story the page jumps and you click on some story you have no interest in reading. It is not likely that every day they can come up with another story that is the most amazing thing ever seen.

religion:a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
atheism : disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods.
Seems like these two definitions are compatible. Whether you believe there is a God who caused the universe or you believe there is no God that caused the universe you are stating a religious belief. Believing in gravity or not believing in gravity is not a religious belief where believing God exists or believing God does not exist is a religious belief.
Allowing people to put up a Christmas tree is not a government endorsement of one religion over another. It is just allowing people to express or celebrate their culture. Not allowing a Christmas tree is not being neutral, it is denying people their rights and freedoms. On the flip side we should all be tolerant of the Islamic symbol or wican symbol because that is also a symbol of other peoples beliefs. Although some symbols are offensive to most people, in America, those people have the rights and freedom to display those symbols and it is still not a government endorsement of those beliefs.

No, most of us were never atheists. Atheists deny the existence of God, something I never did. At one time I did not accept God as a part of my life but I did not deny a God existed. Unlike most atheists I was open minded in that I believed there could be a God and eventually I found enough evidence to convince me. As to atheist being good people, you don’t need to believe in God to be a good person relative to other people. But by God’s standards they are just as bad as the next person and need God to be forgiven of their sins and to be saved from eternal death.
