  • If I could change one thing in the universe, it’d be this: any elected official or any official who has any authority over any of his fellow citizens knowingly tells a lie, he would immediately burst into flame. Then, for only a brief time, Washington, DC would truly be a city of light

  • Under Stalin people were forced to inform on their neighbors. If the ‘informant’ didn’t come up with enough names, he himself was scooped up along with the names he had furnished. Does this sound familiar? Does anyone think the US is immune from such possibilities? Look into history, people. America has been like living in Disneyland for a very long time, but the illusion is almost over.

  • I actually like what Alexis Normand did much better than the rendition by Roseanne Barr…Barr knew she was being a rude, crude horses patoot while this girl at least had the idea of what the song was about. I couldn’t sing the Canadian anthem if my life depended on it.

  • Oh Charles, if it were only so…

  • Consider: What act other than abortion requires the death penalty be imposed on an entirely innocent 3rd party? Yes, there should be exceptions for rape or incest (but no requirement that the pregnancy be terminated), but most abortions are for retroactive birth control. If the man and woman acted like human beings instead of like alley cats in heat there would be far less reason for abortion. If abortion is a sin (and it is my firm conviction that in most cases, it is), then it can be forgiven by God. Obama is the last person I’d ask to gain God’s ear for a blessing.

  • Rep. Kelly is right, dealing with the IRS is like dealing with the Mafia. I’ve owned a business and I’ve gotten those envelopes with IRS emblazoned on them, and it’s like getting kicked in the gut every time you get one. You have to dot every i, cross every t, and God help you if your filings aren’t timely! I’m no longer in business and one of the reasons is the stress of having to deal with all the regulatory bull squeeze required by this overblown monstrosity called the US government. Just who in the blue hell needs the headache to make a lousy buck? I’m an advocate for the Fair tax, but it makes too much sense, therefore it isn’t likely to ever be enacted. The tax laws and regulations this government operates by are an obscenity. If someone with a high school education cannot understand how to file their taxes, then the laws are morally bankrupt!

  • Health insurance has improved so much I no longer have any. What used to be affordable/reasonable has now escalated to the moon and beyond. My employer’s plan costs me $8,000 a year plus $2,000 deductible, so I’m out $10,000 out of pocket before they’ll pay for as much as an aspirin. I simply cannot afford that. That’s ok, I’m a big boy and old enough to know everyone dies. If I have a serious issue, it’s off to the ER with me, and damn the hospital-they’ll get whatever I can send ‘em. I may change my name to another ethnicity, then I won’t have to worry. Before I can check out, there’ll be someone to sign me up for food stamps and give me an Obamaphone.

  • Yes, we just want our little guns to do what we want, which is to:
    1. exercise our Constitutional rights to own firearms
    2. defend our families from the felons the court system dumps back into society every day
    3. Provide recreation
    4. provide food for ourselves and our family.
    5. apparently give the ******** an issue for fundraising
    6. allow ******** to demonstrate their hatred of our basic rights-if the 2nd amendment goes, so go all the rest
    7. allow ******** to practice their groupthink mentality, believing that if they say a think often enough, it must be true.
Look into history for what happens when government grows too powerful. Joseph Stalin killed more Russians than Hitler ever did, but due to his unrelenting propaganda machine many Russians wept at his death, even those who had their own relatives slaughtered by his ghoulish regime. It happened there, and we are not immune. There is only freedom-or something less!

  • Bloomberg says “Down with cupcakes, up with Twinkies!”

  • The Choom gang rides again! We don need no stinkin’ batches!
