I don’t care what you think of this whole situation and how it was wrongly portrayed in the media… but ultimately this is not funny at all and the bar owner should be ashamed to call himself a human.

If she doesn’t know who he is and IF “he wasn’t involved” in writing the “law”, then why does she need to make the point that his comments are “old” (1-2 years old) and why does she thinks that it’s important that he “backtracked from those statements.” If he’s not significant, then neither are his comments? Right?

I really saw nothing wrong with that. Guy was nervous. We’ve all been there. Good job… he held it together and got through it.

Open your ears. She mispronounced both times and only asked after it was brought to her attention. Mispronouncing is not a big deal… Pretending to know him and then sticking your foot in your mouth is. She also said he was a US Marine Corp vet… Which he is not.

@Brigot: You made the comment that “the problem with Reagan’s system is that it was supposed to stop missile attacks from the air…”

Umm… I’m going to stop you right there… because clearly the video shows that IT DID STOP THE MISSILE ATTACKS FROM THE AIR.

I’m not sure what your point is. If you’re trying to say that they need to stop the ground attacks too, then yes, they do. But the IRON DOME is doing what it was intended to do as is the case in this instance.

Never been… but with a pick-up and a set of keys that start said pick-up, I will be driving that thing in the opposite direction of the tornado.

Wow… no one said you have to be smart in order to survive a tornado. What were they waiting for?

If you knew the history of these roads on Long Island… they were never built to accommodate trucks. They are strictly for passenger vehicles. On RAMPS are all clearly marked “NO Commercial Vehicles” and “LOW Clearance” signs are all over the place. There are Expressways (LIE) and Highways that are built for both commercial and passenger vehicles without needing to get onto the “Parkways.” The problem is that many of these drivers are not New Yorkers and are unfamiliar with the roads… and with the use of GPS systems… it directs the drivers onto the “Parkways” not knowing that they should not access them.

    He didn’t chop that… ;-)

I don’t think the Vet was upset that he wasn’t allowed to ride the ride. I think he clearly understands the safety concerns and by not having at least one “full” leg, he would be at risk of falling out of the ride. His only argument with 6 flags was… he was refused a legitimate refund. Thank you for your ultimate sacrifice and service.

The host didn’t say “Essential” to making out… he said “name something that two lovers might accidentally turn on while making out…”

I’m sorry, but I don’t see any way that EVERYONE survived the sinking.

@Brigott – this is a beautiful version. Well sung in a soft, breathy voice that is on point. It’s outright inspiring.

Awesome… Absolutely awesome. The human spirit does live in all of us. Sometimes we forget that we are ONE. It’s difficult when you have those that constantly pit one against the other… but in the end, we truly are one and it is our responsibility as individuals to be true to that.

@Eastinfection… I’m not buying it. Buying your McDonalds at a drive through with a credit card. The story says that as soon as the employee realized his mistake, he called the couple at their home. If he had to look up their name with google, do an internet search for a “possible” phone number that would have been part of the story to highlight his resourcefulness – just my opinion. I don’t know, I haven’t been in or around a McDonalds in 25 years. Maybe they are hiring resourceful people now and that’s the norm. I doubt it.

@Trolltrainer… thank you for seeing what I thought was obvious. How did the McDonalds employee “call” the couple at their home. He/she has the numbers of all the drive through customers? Doesn’t add up…
